The E-IDS Program is at the beginning of an 8 year field implementation waterfall.  E-IDS is a supplemental Air Traffic Control System responsible for displaying essential information, e.g. Weather, Navigation Charts, Status of NAS Equipment, Air Traffic Procedures used by controllers in decision making prior to issuing clearance instructions to aircraft.
