Surface Maintenance and Engineering Planning Program (SURFMEPP) provides centralized surface ship life cycle maintenance engineering, and class maintenance planning and management.  SURFMEPP’s primary mission is to maintain and modernize in-service ships throughout the ship’s expected service life focusing on a complete, well-engineered, and continuously improving Class Maintenance Plan (CMP).    SURFMEPP’s Modernization Analysts are subject matter experts on surface ship modernization and integration, working with TYCOM, Program Office and Maintenance Teams to support Surface Fleet platforms. Modernization Analyst responsibilities include (but not limited to): - Providing analysis and recommendations to facilitate ship specific modernization planning and execution. - Conducting availability integration and modernization analysis to identify modernization that may risk avails exceeding scheduled completion date. - Identifying repair, corrosion and tank work that may be affected by a Mod task. - Managing Mandatory Safety Alterations for assigned ship class(es) by generating WN’s and tracking them to completion. - Assisting in program reviews, conferences and working groups for naval programs.

Surface Maintenance and Engineering Planning Program (SURFMEPP) provides centralized surface ship life cycle maintenance engineering, and class maintenance planning and management.  SURFMEPP’s primary mission is to maintain and modernize in-service ships throughout the ship’s expected service life focusing on a complete, well-engineered, and continuously improving Class Maintenance Plan (CMP).    SURFMEPP’s System Engineers provide database management for assigned systems in M&SWP.  The Propulsion Systems Engineer will update existing maintenance tasks and create new maintenance tasks to support maintenance on shipboard propulsion systems for the Navy’s Surface Ship Fleet. They will develop, track, and manage material requirements for mandatory Class Maintenance Plan tasks for various hulls and availabilities under the guidance of senior personnel, and will attend meetings and communicate with relevant stakeholders to provide comments, recommendations, and follow-up on issues and topics relevant to propulsion systems. 

Surface Maintenance and Engineering Planning Program (SURFMEPP) provides centralized surface ship life cycle maintenance engineering, and class maintenance planning and management.  SURFMEPP’s primary mission is to maintain and modernize in-service ships throughout the ship’s expected service life focusing on a complete, well-engineered, and continuously improving Class Maintenance Plan (CMP).    SURFMEPP’s System Engineer Specialists provide database management for assigned systems in M&SWP.  The Propulsion Systems staff will use Reliability Centered Maintenance principles to develop, maintain Class Maintenance Plan requirements for surface ship propulsion systems under the guidance of senior personnel. 

Surface Maintenance and Engineering Planning Program (SURFMEPP) provides centralized surface ship life cycle maintenance engineering, and class maintenance planning and management.  SURFMEPP’s primary mission is to maintain and modernize in-service ships throughout the ship’s expected service life focusing on a complete, well-engineered, and continuously improving Class Maintenance Plan (CMP).    SURFMEPP’s System Engineers provide database management for assigned systems in M&SWP.  The C4I Engineer will update existing maintenance tasks and create new maintenance tasks to support maintenance on shipboard Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (C4I) systems for the Navy’s Surface Ship Fleet.  System Engineers attend meetings and communicate with relevant stakeholders to provide comments, recommendations, and follow-up on relevant issues and topics supporting C4I systems.

They provide database management for assigned systems in M&SWP, draft and update existing maintenance and modernization tasks to support the Navy’s Surface Ship Fleet. They will develop, track, and manage requirements for mandatory Class Maintenance Plan tasks for various hulls and availabilities under the guidance of senior personnel. 

Surface Maintenance and Engineering Planning Program (SURFMEPP) provides centralized surface ship life cycle maintenance engineering, and class maintenance planning and management.  SURFMEPP’s primary mission is to maintain and modernize in-service ships throughout the ship’s expected service life focusing on a complete, well-engineered, and continuously improving Class Maintenance Plan (CMP).   SURFMEPP’s Corrosion Systems Analysts are the Subject Matter Experts for development of corrosion/structural project implementation, interfacing with Navy activities to develop or support corrosion/structural technologies; new corrosion mitigation initiatives, assisting in removing corrosion barriers, and communicating findings and recommendations to SURFMEPP Leadership.  The Analyst will participate in Corrosion Communities of Practice Working Group events to include MegaRust, Fleet Maintenance and Modernization Symposium (FMMS) and Standard Specifications for Ship Repair and Alteration (SSRAC).   The Analyst understands database principles and maintenance, and conducts engineering analysis of all corrosion reports, identifying corrosion trends and generating metrics for interpretation by Leadership.  Using Reliability Centered Maintenance principles, the Analyst will develop and  maintain Class Maintenance Plans for tanks, voids, and ship structure, and develop various SURFMEPP corrosion control processes and products - ensuring alignment with higher-level guidance.

Surface Maintenance and Engineering Planning Program (SURFMEPP) was established to provide centralized surface ship life cycle maintenance engineering, and class maintenance planning and management.  SURFMEPP’s primary mission is to maintain and modernize in-service ships throughout the ship’s expected service life focusing on a complete, well-engineered, and continuously improving Class Maintenance Plan (CMP).    The SURFMEPP Corrosion Analyst in Mayport will actively manage and track surface ship class corrosion plans during CNO Availability advanced planning and planning processes, including maintaining and recommending improvements for  Class Standard Work Templates used in CNO Availabilities.  The Analyst will support development, maintenance and reporting of metrics for SURFMEPP corrosion control processes and products; Use metrics and database research to provide recommendations for improving the CMP and other SURFMEPP products; Utilize standard operating procedures, best practices, and growing expertise to provide quality control checks on SURFMEPP corrosion plans; and act as SURFMEPP’s initial Corrosion Subject Matter Expert to other Surface Navy maintenance stakeholders during CNO Availability planning.

Surface Maintenance and Engineering Planning Program (SURFMEPP) was established to provide centralized surface ship life cycle maintenance engineering, and class maintenance planning and management.  SURFMEPP’s primary mission is to maintain and modernize in-service ships throughout the ship’s expected service life focusing on a complete, well-engineered, and continuously improving Class Maintenance Plan (CMP).    SURFMEPP’s Senior Regional Corrosion Planners (Project Analysts) assist the Government with overseeing execution and refinement of surface ship class corrosion plans during the advanced planning and planning process.  The Senior Planners provide best practice guidance and procedural training to other SURFMEPP Corrosion Planners on tracking Mandatory Technical Requirements (MTRs) and related services during CNO Availability execution.  The Senior Planner also provides quality control of SURFMEPP corrosion plans and leads as SURFMEPP’s primary Corrosion Subject Matter Expert to regional Surface Navy maintenance stakeholders.
