Work is on-site with the possibility to telework 1-2 days per week

NOBLIS MSD has an opening in Norfolk, VA for a non-nuclear surface ship subject matter expert, as an Availability Work Package Manager. The AWPM will provide analysis and recommendations and support to Fleet Maintenance & Industrial Management, Systems Engineering, and Quality Assurance (QA)/Quality Control (QC) initiatives.  The position requires the employee to plan non-nuclear, US Navy Maintenance and Modernization Availabilities with regard to schedule, cost, content and technical considerations, assess and report risks to availability schedule and cost; and provide expert advice to Senior Navy Leadership at the Type Commander level for pragmatic decision making.   In this role, the Availability Work Package Manager will: - Apply technical expertise, practical engineering judgment, and business acumen to the research, development, and design of life cycle maintenance & modernization for non-nuclear surface ships - Provide analysis and recommendation to provide direct support for Fleet Maintenance & Industrial Management, Systems Engineering and QA/QC initiatives - Monitor the progress of Mandatory Technical Requirements (MTRs) upon AWP turnover from SURFMEPP. - Support depot level availability duration studies to ensure that corrective maintenance and life cycle maintenance impacts are understood. - Provide analyses and reports to maintenance and modernization stakeholders. - Plan and participate in meetings and events to include: TYCOM depot level availability planning conferences, Life Cycle Planning Conferences, Mid-Cycle reviews, AWP turnover meetings, Integrated Project Team Development (IPTD) meetings, AWP close-out meetings, Surface Team One Knowledge Sharing Network forums, milestone meetings for advanced planning, and CNO availability work planning meetings including A-410 meetings and events. - Provide an After Action Report (AAR) for each event.  - Research, create and brief programmatic and technical white papers addressing top attention items up to the Flag/SES level - Assist in Risk Management (RSKM) and program reviews, IPTs, working groups for naval programs. - A working knowledge of current Fleet maintenance procedures associated with published Navy directives, including the Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFMM)

Noblis MSD’s mission is to support the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) and Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWCPD) in their missions to enable research, development, test and evaluation, acquisition, engineering, systems integration, in-service and fleet engineering with cybersecurity, comprehensive logistics, and life-cycle savings.  Noblis MSD is seeking an System Engineer that is currently familiar with NSWCPDs System Engineering Process Manual and the policy for the conduct of engineering at NSWCPD. You will provide engineering and technical oversite of engineering work currently in progress at Philadelphia Navy Yard The System Engineer is a full time position, and will consist of a combination of remote work, and onsite work.  The position will facilitate lifecycle management of hardware and software alterations for the Electronic Charting Display and Information System (ECDIS) and Navigation Critical Distribution System (NCDS).     - - Oversee and conduct system engineering requirements for associated Ship Change Doucments - Conduct hardware and software configuration management as part of systme lifecycle management - Facilitate POA&M schedule in collaboration with customers and sponsors. - Support system development, test and integration, and implementation - Work in an Agile environment  New contract, good long term opportunity.

Noblis is seeking to hire a Cleared Technical Writer (All Levels) is an ACTIVE Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph in Chantilly, VA   The Cleared Technical Writer will assist with the writing and editing of cyber analytic materials to include user, installation, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) guides, reports, white papers, meeting minutes, and action items.  The candidate will work closely with various functional team leads and directly with our clients to assist in developing content for the above documentation providing advanced knowledge of English composition, grammar, and structure.   The successful candidate will be responsible for the following activities: - Attend team meetings to capture notes and action items for distribution and posting to the team repository. - Work with subject matter experts to develop user guides, SOPs, news letters, strategic artifacts, style guides, reports and white papers for client delivery. - Review and tech edit all presentations for style, grammar, punctuation, content, spelling, readability, and clarity. - Help identify and develop supporting graphics for product slick sheets. - Help maintain repository of latest to archived documentation and materials on team site maintaining version control. - Be a self-starter able to accomplish daily tasks independently. - Be creative and proactive to the needs of the project. - Have experience working directly in a customer setting and able to manage tasks. - Top-Secret clearance with Polygraph

Noblis MSD’s mission is to support the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) and, NavalSurface Warfare Center (NSWCPD) and their missions’ to enable research, development, testand evaluation, acquisition, engineering, systems integration, in-service and fleetengineering with cybersecurity, comprehensive logistics, and life-cycle savings. Noblis MSD is seeking a Systems Engineer to support a U.S. Navy program. Within this role, youwill be part of an in-service engineering and software development team, which is an evolving Agile-based release and deployment environment. The team develops software and supports aMachinery Control System (MCS) software suite and network whose application is a U.S. Navywarship. The duties and responsibilities of the candidate will include the following: 1. Grow within the role to become a subject matter expert in marine Machinery Control Systems(MCS) that interface with various other propulsion, electrical, auxiliary systems and equipment. 2. Perform software requirements reviews and updates, design and implementation review, testing,deployment, configuration management, information assurance, delivery, release, andtroubleshooting through the Navy's Systems Engineering Process (SEP). 3. This will also involve evaluation and analysis of equipment and system designs and test data. Expected to work with a team of engineers and technicians to complete deliverable applications and coordinate with government sites and ship platforms. This position is for a machinery controls system engineer.  The main function of the candidate will be to provide lifecycle support of fielded and future Machinery Control Systems (MCS) on the USS ARLEIGH BURKE class of destroyer.  This includes shipboard support as well as Land Based Engineering Site (LBES) support.  The USS ARLEIGH BURKE MCS is comprised of several variants spanning various technologies. The newest technology variant focuses on industry standard commercial off the shelf (COTS) equipment inclusive of ruggedized computers and programmable logic controller (PLC) systems.   PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: - Lifecycle support of the supervisory machinery control system which includes, but is not limited to: - Provide design support for integration of equipment in an industrial/shipboard environment - Provide technical input to the design of future MCS systems - Develop, derive, and refine system and software requirements for future fielded systems - Troubleshooting complex problems of future fielded systems (PLC based control systems) both at LBES and shipboard - Review of technical documentation related to future fielded systems - Provide test support at LBES - Provide shipboard SW & HW installation support at LBES - Develop test procedures to exercise requirements of future fielded systems
