Are you an experienced reverse engineer looking for an exciting opportunity in the law enforcement and intelligence community?  Do you have experience facilitating the research, development and deployment of new and existing capabilities in the study and cryptanalysis of security protocols, embedded systems, vulnerability analysis and exploitation?  Do you want to work for a great company while also impacting a valuable national security mission?


Noblis is seeking an experienced Reverse Engineer/Researcher to work as part of a scientifically diverse team in our Advanced Reverse Engineering and Cryptanalysis Programs. The successful candidate will work with an interdisciplinary team of software developers, computer scientists and mathematicians to research and design algorithms related to cryptography and security, and deploy new capabilities in a high performance computing setting. Primary responsibilities will be to facilitate the development and deployment of capabilities on various cloud and other compute clusters.   


Client Engagement

· Learn about the Noblis business development lifecycle, processes, tools, and account structure
· Contribute specialized domain or technical content to proposal sections or client white papers
· Build a productive relationship with your client and understand their structure and goals


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant technical field, and a minimum of 7 years professional experience.
  • Implementing standard cryptographic algorithms and protocols
  • Reverse Engineering applications, including Windows kernel modules, with IDA Pro, OllyDbg, WinDbg, and other related tools.
  • Software development in C or C++ in a Windows or Linux/Unix environment
  • Windows device driver development. 
  • Top Secret Clearance

Desired Qualifications:

  • MS or PhD in a technical field, such as such as computer science, engineering, mathematics, or computer information systems
  • TS/SCI or higher preferred

Successful candidates will be knowledgeable in the following domain areas

  • Fundamentals of modern cryptographic protocols
  • Computational complexity and algorithms, and the optimization of algorithms and software to include parallel computing.
  • Current trends and advances in cryptographic theory and practice.
  • Automation of software analysis using standard tools, as well as novel approaches to vulnerability detection in both software and embedded systems.
  • Theory and design of cryptographic hashes, and standard security practices for password hashing.
