Noblis is looking to hire a Proposal Graphic Artist reporting directly to the Proposal Operations Center Manager.


The Proposal Graphic Artist will support Noblis’ Business Development and Proposal Operations Center staff and their varied workload. Primary focus will be developing proposal graphics, working closely with the capture and proposal teams to conceptualize what they are trying to convey and the best way to visually communicate that information into the proposal. Other tasks may include creative design and layout work following corporate branding styles; providing desktop publishing support to proposals and other writing projects, and as needed by the marketing department, creating new collateral materials such as datasheets, brochures, postcards, and tradeshow materials.  Graphics skills require advanced capability in Illustrator, as well as proficiency in PhotoShop and InDesign.


The individual for the Proposal Graphic Artist role will have mastery of Adobe Creative Suite and advanced ability in MS Office.  Qualified candidate will have proven experience and effectiveness creating and integrating graphics throughout the business development lifecycle.  The individual will have significant interaction with internal Noblis customers and must have the ability to communicate and iterate graphics with teams to meet customer and solicitation requirements. The ability to work on multiple projects, conceptualize, and design solutions from concept to completion, and meet tight deadlines is required.


Client Engagement

· Learn about the Noblis business development lifecycle, processes, tools, and account structure
· Contribute specialized domain or technical content to proposal sections or client white papers
· Build a productive relationship with your client and understand their structure and goals


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in a related filed and 3-5+ years of experience in graphic design. 
  • Knowledge of the Shipley business development process and proposals
  • Extensive knowledge of Adobe Suite, including InDesign,Illustrator, PhotoShop, Acrobat DC, Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and other graphics and desktop publishing software.
  • Ability to use advanced features of Microsoft Office, including styles and templates in Word.
  • Highly organized with solid communication skills and superior attention to detail.
  • Experience conceptualizing highly complex technical concepts and translating them into effective visuals
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment that includes completing several assignments simultaneously with quick turn-around and numerous revisions under strict deadlines-- adhering to milestone schedules and timelines set by the proposal manager
  • Ability to retain a professional attitude while meeting deadlines is essential.

  • Secret Clearance
  • Capable as a low volume copywriter and editor
  • Previous proposal production support
  • Degree in graphic design or visual communications
  • APMP Foundation Certification
