Federal Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) efforts the Noblis team currently supports:
Noblis has a team of 30+ professionals supporting multiple research, development, and deployment-focused programs for the USDOT. These programs focus on using emerging technologies – including ITS, connected vehicle, automated vehicle, and other emerging mobility and smart city technologies – to transform how we travel – enhancing safety, improving mobility, and reducing transportation’s impact on the environment. We are positioning to grow our Surface Transportation Team with other terrific team members.
Our team supports a wide variety of US DOT programs, including the Connected Vehicle Demonstration Program, ITS Architecture, Standards and Cybersecurity program, the ITS Data program, ITS Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence program and the Secure Credential Management System Proof of Concept program which conducts research with the Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) system that secures connected vehicle messaging. This is an exciting time for ITS as new technologies such as autonomous vehicles and 5G wireless are starting to enter the ITS ecosystem.

This is an opportunity for someone with a background and experience in systems engineering, cyber security engineering and/or transportation engineering to support the USDOT Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) programs. Noblis provides technical and programmatic support to the USDOT ITS Joint Program Office (JPO) planning and conducting research activities, coordinating technology deployment programs, and seeking disruptive innovation to transform the increasingly connected and automated world of surface transportation systems. A focus of Noblis support is ITS communications / interface standards development to ensure inter-operable deployment of intelligent transportation systems.
