Noblis is hiring a Systems Engineer in Chantilly, VA. 


  • Must have an active Top Secret/SCI clearance with a Counter-Intelligence Polygraph


The System Engineer will serve as a Technical Lead to the Program Manager (PM) with responsibility for technical knowledge of the assigned groups (e.g. Group Level) and programs/projects. The Systems Engineer will:

  • Lead IPT meetings and review process boards to include but not limited to ERBs, CCBs, and PMRs to ensure development contractors are meeting program requirements
  • Serve as a technical expert in their assigned area
  • Support the PM in multiple areas including Program Management, acquisition support, analytic support, technical analysis, user requirement management/development and customer outreach and support
  • Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to manage multiple customer requests simultaneously
  • Other responsibilities include administrative and technical support to the Government leadership team, internal cross tower coordination, external mission partners and other DoD/IC customers

Client Engagement

· Contribute to large capture strategies, actively engage with clients, and market Noblis capabilities externally
· Foster appropriate identification and selection of business development opportunities, and provide thought leadership to help shape future work
· Win 2 task orders, identify big bets or take responsibility for a re-compete



  • Bachelor's degree
  • Possess 10+ years of Systems Engineering experience in one or more of the following focus areas: Spacecraft Technical Expertise, Space Systems Engineering, Ground Segment Engineering, Tools Development & IT, DAG support, Acquisition & PM support, & Outreach & Communications
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience working with the DoD and the IC
  • Experience with space/ground systems and systems engineering
  • Prior experience with government acquisitions specifically with this customer 
  • Detailed knowledge of SIGINT systems and overall space and ground architecture
  • Expertise in mission technical capabilities and system performance analysis and assessment
  • Experience with Mission Planning, Control or Processing functions in support of space and ground architecture
  • Experience in supporting Requirements Engineering, CONOPs development, and system integration in SIGINT systems
  • Mastery understanding of DoD and IC tactics, techniques, and procedures including CONOPS, architectures and cloud-based environments
  • Advanced skills in writing, reviewing and editing of technical reports, statements of work, white papers and other technical and programmatic documents
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to summarize and brief senior level Government leaders, civilians and military officers
  • Ability to build and present technical briefings and reports with specific knowledge of SIGINT.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and perform other duties as assigned


  • Master’s in Business, Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to summarize and brief senior level Government leaders, civilians and military officers
  • Ability to build and present technical briefings and reports with specific knowledge of SIGINT, GEOINT, MASINT, Multi-INT, OPIR, software frameworks or devops
  • Minimum of 6 years of project management, systems engineering, or architecture experience in industry or DOD/IC community Acquisition Project Management
  • Experience managing and/or supervising a team of acquisition, systems engineering, and architecture SETA personnel and their daily tasks
