The Telecom Network Engineer acts as the technical lead supporting the client organization’s planning, transition, management, and modernization of an agency’s voice and data telecommunications services under the agency’s recently awarded GSA EIS contract.


Candidate will play a technical advisory role and engage with other subject matter experts, vendor, sub-contractors and other client groups to ensure services are implemented in a technically-sound, timely and cost-effective manner. Requires excellent inter-personal, writing and oral communications skills.


The position assists the office in identifying telecom and network infrastructure service priorities. Duties are varied and include defining processes, providing cost-analysis, preparing briefings, service order scheduling, technology road-maps and plans, etc. The objective is to provide technical and business assistance to seamlessly transitioning current locations and telecom services to the new vendor and contract. The position requires candidate to be full-time on-site at customer work site in Washington, DC. The work location is convenient to metro.

Client Engagement

• Begin developing relationships one level up and two levels down. Identify and support opportunities to expand project scope beyond current deliverable and actively share information about clients’ emerging support needs and trends with team members and management.
· Participate on proposals



  • 3-5 years network engineering or technical service support in the areas of PBX, VOIP, Voice Mail or wireless communications.
  • At least 2 years experience with contact center technologies and operational environments.
  • Experience implementing Unified Voice Communications services.
  • Demonstrable experience with VOIP technologies and components.


  • Bachelors in Computer Science, Math, or similar degree.


  • Understanding of current and emerging communications technologies such as SD-WAN, SIP Trunking, VPN, WAN/LAN environments and internet technologies.
  • Understanding of developing and implementing Access Control lists
