Responsibilities

Summary:

NASA Goddard has an ongoing requirement for a junior systems engineer to support space flight hardware development and V&V efforts.  This is a critical requirement to  NASA missions and other federal government projects.  Join the Noblis team and help NASA research, design and develop future space hardware that will shape the future of air and space flight missions and operations. 

 

Position Description:

Noblis is looking for qualified candidates to fill a Junior System Engineer and Verification and Validation (V&V) Integrator/ Analyst position supporting a team of engineers and operations personnel in the areas of sopacecraft and flight systems.  The primary place of performance is Greenbelt, MD but will support needs at neighboring facilities when required. 

 

Key roles:

  • Space flight hardware requirements integration
  • Space flight design and V&V
  • Assist with general requirements development and systems engineering
  • Assist with monitoring system usage and performance
  • “Bird-dog” NASA system level and driving subsystem requirements, get them documented and linked, and “own” requirements and V&V going forward

Client Engagement

· Learn about the Noblis business development lifecycle, processes, tools, and account structure
· Contribute specialized domain or technical content to proposal sections or client white papers
· Build a productive relationship with your client and understand their structure and goals

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
  • Knowledge of systems engineering and requirements development including V&V methods and processes
  • Knowledge of Space Flight Systems
  • Minimum of 2 years of equivalent work experience
  • Individual  should be self-motivated and have good communication skills including knowledge of  IT system operations and integration
