Noblis is seeking a Junior Reverse Engineer in the Northern Virginia area to become a member of a scientifically diverse team in our Vulnerability Analysis Program.  The successful candidate will have entry level experience and interests in reverse engineering and software development on embedded or mobile platforms.  The main tasks will be to test, analyze, and determine deficiencies on embedded devices. At Noblis, we work on many difficult and open problems in software and hardware reverse engineering, cryptanalysis, data science, mathematics, high performance computing, and forensics. As part of our team, you will work with researches in these areas to develop, implement, and deploy unique solutions to our clients' most challenging problems.    

Client Engagement

· Learn about and support Noblis’ client engagement, corporate values, and corporate strategic priorities, including providing input to proposal writers.
· Build a productive relationship with your client and understand their structure and goals.
· Participate in the proposal process by providing input to proposal writers.


Required Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of relevant experience and Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field; or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Must be able and willing to obtain a Top Secret security clearance.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Candidates who already hold a security clearance are preferred.
  • Experience working with mobile or embedded devices
  • Demonstrated experience with Java, C, C++, Python or assembly
  • Knowledge of the OSI model and network protocols
  • Experience with reverse engineering and network security tools, including IDA Pro, Ghidra, Frida, GDB, WinDdg, YARA, Windows Sysinternals, Kali Linux, and/or Wireshark
  • Experience in vulnerability research
  • Experience with reversing and development of non-Intel architectures such as ARM, PowerPC, MIPS, etc.
