    The Systems Engineer for Identity and Access Management supports the analysis, planning, design, implementation, test and evaluation of security controls applied to IAM equipment, network, and procedures for current and future IAM capabilities.  This includes PKI, certificate and identity management, IAM capacity expansion, and enterprise authorization. Works with the IAM development lab manager to evaluate the security posture of IAM and take corrective action. Supports operational hardware, virtualization, and network infrastructure. Recommends development and design changes to improve quality and security posture of products and/or procedures. Supports system security maintenance including security patching. Supports system builds and deployments to test and operational environments.


    Duties will include, but are not limited to:

     

    • Work in an Agile environment to perform security engineering for IAM Phase 2 and beyond
    • Security patching and administration for IAM development lab, and test and operational environments
    • Analysis and remediation of Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&M) Items in the IAM development lab and in the operational IAM environment
    • System and network administration in a complex environment with multiple security domains
    • Development of annual security certification and authorization package
    • Review and develop documentation to include, but not limited to: requirements documents, interface description documents, training material, technical instruction material, maintenance plans
    • Participate in TIMs
    • Prepare and review program technical documentation
    • Work with development team to document, test, and deploy system modifications     

     

    Client Engagement

    • Begin developing relationships one level up and two levels down. Identify and support opportunities to expand project scope beyond current deliverable and actively share information about clients’ emerging support needs and trends with team members and management.
    · Participate on proposals

    Qualifications

    Required Skills:

    • Bachelor's degree and 6 years of experience
    • Systems administration experience with Linux, VMWare
    • Experience working in an Agile and/or DevOps development environment
    • Experience in the use of Git, SVN, and/or other configuration management software
    • Network configuration, security, and troubleshooting experience
    • Strong analytical skills 

    Desired Skills:

    • Familiarity with NIST 800-53 and the NIST Risk Management Framework
    • Familiarity with PKI concepts and implementations
    • Familiarity with network monitoring and log analysis solutions such as HP OpenView and ArcSight
    • Experience with supporting systems in the FAA NAS
    • Networking experience in FAA domains, including FNTB, OPIP, and NESG
    • Experience with Ansible, Puppet, Chef, and/or other deployment support tools
