  • Responsibilities

    The Software Developer will be expected to work on a federal government program. Developer responsibilities include programming, documenting, testing, debugging, and participating in agile development activities to include sprint planning, working in a team environment, participating in standups, and other agile ceremonies. The developer shall strive to improve themselves, the team as a whole, and the development process through daily teamwork, communication, idea-sharing, collaboration and problem-solving.

    Client Engagement

    • Begin developing relationships one level up and two levels down. Identify and support opportunities to expand project scope beyond current deliverable and actively share information about clients’ emerging support needs and trends with team members and management.
    · Participate on proposals


    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software Development/Engineering related fields
    • 7+ years of experience in Software Development
    • Current TS/SCI Clearance (with DHS HQ Suitability a plus)
    • Well versed in using Agile processes
    • Programming knowledge in some of the following languages: Python, Java, JavaScript
    • Database experience with some of the following products: PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB
    • Understanding of software testing and quality assurance best practices
    • Experience with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
    • Proficient with git, and pull request workflows

    Communication and Interpersonal:

    • Prepare and/or contribute to technical reports, memos, analysis and briefings. Plan and manage assigned deliverables;
    • Support meetings, inter-team communication, and issue resolution with the client and internal/project stakeholder groups;

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Ability to support multiple projects
    • Experience with Spark, Docker, Openshift, Jenkins
    • Knowledge of the python web frameworks like Falcon, Flask, or Django
    • Abilitiy to learn and work on different parts of a software stack
    • Highly proficient using Python3
