  • Responsibilities

    Noblis is seeking a software engineer well versed in DevSecOps principals and best practices.  As the devops engineer your primary responsibilities will include:

    • Supporting the development teams in maintaining, updating and consistently improving the DevOps pipelines in the local environments.
    • Working with the customer to facilitate the migration of mature DevOps pipelines into their environments (Dev, Test, Production)
    • Providing guidance to the customer for building DevOps capabilities across their environments (Dev, Test, Production)

    Qualifications

    • Bachelors of Science & a minimum of 5 years of related experience, or Master’s and 3 years related experience, or Doctorate and 0-2 years
    • 5+ years working with build and automation tools including Jenkins, Artifactory, Maven
    • TS-SCI, DHS EOD (Plus)
    • Excellent understanding of Git both GUI and command line (knowledge of Git Flow a plus)
    • Familiarity with utilizing Docker containers
    • General understanding of network configuration (firewall rules, server-client connections)
    • Proficient in securing network connections using TLS
    • 5+ years experience writing Java
    • Familiarity with microservice based architecture using Spring Boot
    • Fluency in a programming language (java, python, etc...)

    • Building/Deploying apps and systems using docker

    • Familiar with CI/CD tools

          - Jenkins (must)

          - Git (must)

    • Working knowledge of linux administration

    • Working agile development knowledge

    • Working distributed systems

    • Ability to work well in a team environment
    • Ability to troubleshoot difficult software challenges
    • Drive to be a self-starter and promote change when necessary
    • Practical python development skills
    • Practical Spark experience
    • Practical HDFS experience
    • Practical Kafka experience
    • Artifactory experience
    • Practical OpenShift experience
