    Noblis is seeking an energetic Payroll Specialist to join our team in Reston, VA. In this role, you will be handling the processing of biweekly payrolls for 2-3 companies and 1200-2000 employees in total. We are seeking an individual that is familiar with basic payroll processing and procedures, payroll taxes and payroll acoount reconciliations. 


    In this role, you will:

    • Serve as the main contact for payroll related matters answering employee questions or management inquiries regarding pay issues.
    • Update payroll records by entering changes in tax exemptions, direct deposits and miscellaneous deductions and employee level tax settings.
    • Create reviews and uploads the biweekly feed files from the Deltek T&E labor reporting system and HR Data Entry files to the UltiPro payroll application.
    • Process and maintain files for payroll garnishments, liens and levies.
    • Oversee the funding of biweekly payroll checks and deposits.
    • Ensure payroll records are updated accurately and reports any matters of concern or abnormality to supervisor.
    • Balance biweekly payroll and troubleshoots issues that may arise.
    • Coordinate with Human Resources for the generation and distribution of bonuses and special payments.
    • Participate in the Year End processes to include preparation and distribution of W-2s
    • Participate in the Quarterly Tax reconciliations – for both Federal and State returns
    • Maintain all employee files relating to Payroll.
    • Oversee on line file transmission and funding of employee retirement accounts
    • Administer and facilitate the Archival processes for the Payroll/Labor department.
    • Monitor and reconcile employee charges to the Suspense Labor Accounts
    • Work with Senior Tax staff with regards to State SIT and SUI accounts and the reconciliation of General Ledger tax accounts.


    • 1-3 years payroll processing experience
    • Basic understanding of payroll tax law, employee benefit application, wage and hour laws, general accounting practices
    • Ability to work with minimal supervision
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
    • Payroll systems experience (UltiPro preferred)
    • Time and Labor reporting experience (Deltek T&E preferred).
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Attention to detail and accuracy
