Noblis is seeking qualified candidates to support the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Joint Polar Satellite System (JPSS) Program, located in Greenbelt, MD. The candidate would directly support the Program Science and Program Systems Engineering teams, serving as a liaison between the two branches. The candidate will support requirements changes and trade studied related to science requirements, interface with the downstream user community to vet all requirements changes and to track the operational use of JPSS data products. Finally, the candidate will support the coordination and facilitation of proving ground research to operational initiatives.

Experience with systems engineering of satellite algorithms is required, and understanding of NOAA developmental processes is preferred. Additionally, experience with the operational transition of scientific algorithms is preferred.

The successful candidate will have the appropriate skills, knowledge and experience to accomplish the following:

  • Produce various systems engineering, science and/or algorithm processes and documentation.  
  • Work efficiently with clients, systems engineering team members and other service support contractors.  
  • Maintain positive and productive communication across horizontal and vertical team structures


  • Bachelor's Degree in related field, preferably atmospheric science (Bachelor's accepted, Master's preferred)  
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience with satellite data products, preferably with NOAA
