Responsibilities

Operations Planner SME

Applies expertise and extensive experience in defining and developing requirements. Individual must be able to analyze problems, develop both material and non-material solutions and prepare the required documentation. Individual will be required to coordinate, synchronize and tack multiple operational lines of effort in support of the overall program. Individual will participate with the Joint Staff in strategy development, operational planning and red team participation. Additionally, you are responsible for managing multiple projects and directing the work of oth Save ers while applying your expertise and experience. You serve as the primary contact for clients on assigned projects, leveraging knowledge of clients’ operations and business. You regularly interact with mid-level client representatives and build/use strong collegial networks to improve quality, grow new business, and shape new corporate objectives. You are able to manage uncertainty and risks in difficult situations, relatinships, and problems. You communicate, diagnose, and facilitate consensus in a variety of situations setting clear expectations for execution.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree (Masters or above preferred)
  • Minimum 8 years of experience relevant to the MA mission 
  • Specialized experience in DoD requirements definition, program management, etc.
  • Fundamental understanding of globalization, increasing global interconnectedness and other current economic trends and their potential impact on traditional economies.
  • Fundamental understanding of US Defense Industrial Base (DIB) and issues.
  • Experience working in multi-disciplinary environments
  • Understanding of the Defense Industrial Base and its supporting mechanisms (Military Industrial Base Policy, including CFIUS, Defense Production Act, etc.)
  • Understanding of the Defense Acquisition System
  • Understanding of macroeconomic issues affecting the Aerospace and Defense sector
  • Understanding of Business strategy development
  • Understanding of DoD strategic planning

 

Additional Qualifications:

  • Background in global economics a major plus 
  • Strong inter-personal skills and an ability to interact with all levels of customer and mission partners 
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment 
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing situations
