Responsibilities

The Statistician will be responsible for applying statisical methods and tools toward the analysis of economic data as it relates to our federal client.  To accomplish this, the Statistician will apply sound analytical approaches to sampling, data collection, analysis and formulating recommendations.  S/He will exercise excellent spreadsheet, graphical display and presentation skills to assist in the analysis and communication of research findings.  The successful candidate will also demonstrate excellent problem solving skills and analytical capabilities.

 

Additional responsibilities will include:

  • Perform regression analysis, trend analysis, decision analysis, data modeling, and metric development
  • Experience with SAS preferred
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Experience with: TOAD, SQL Server, MySQL, MS Access, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint
  • Data analysis skills and techniques
  • Ability to decribe analytical technique and findings in reports and breifings
  • Collaborate with Noblis and client team members through written and verbal interactions and presentation
  • Apply consulting and interpersonal skills to a wide range of business situations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathmatics, Biology, Economics, Social Science, or related fields with a minimum of two years of related experience. Master’s degree in related field is desirable. Other fields of specialty will be considered.
  • Experience applying statistics to real world problems.
  • Experience with SAS.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel experience and capabilities required.
  • Experience with regression analysis and data analysis.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills.
  • All candidates must have strong communication and writing skills, ability to solve problems independently, responsible for meeting deadlines.
  • Professional work attitude, ability to communicate openly with management and coworkers, and to work as a team player.
