Responsibilities

Noblis is seeking a Cleared Data Services SME (Multiple Levels) with IC experience and ACTIVE Top Secret with SCI and Polygraph in McLean, VA and Bethesda, MD

 

The Data Services SME will be responsible for and not limited to:

  • Designing and implementing effective backup strategies, schedules, and procedures that comply with data retention policies and regulations.
  • Monitoring daily backup operations, reviewing reports and addressing failures to meet established service level agreement (SLAs).
  • Developing reporting systems with appropriate metrics, KPIs, and dashboards for tracking backup performance.
  • Collaborating with Service Level Management on defining backup/recovery SLAs that align with business continuity objectives.
  • Managing storage resources, budgets, and forecast capacity needs for data protection infrastructure.
  • Leading continuous improvement initiatives through analysis of backup performance data and implementation of best practices.
  • Maintaining backup infrastructure including servers, storage systems, and media rotation/retirement.
  • Developing disaster recovery capabilities with defined recovery time objectives (RTOs) / recovery point objectives (RPOs) and off-site backup procedures.
  • Ensuring regulatory compliance through audit trails, security controls, and documentation.
  • Providing technical leadership through evaluation of backup technologies and staff training.
  • Managing data lifecycle including archiving strategies, classification policies, and secure deletion procedures.
  • Coordinating cross-functional activities with application, network, security, and cloud teams
  • Communicating backup status, requirements, and recommendations to stakeholders
  • Verifying data integrity through random restoration testing and validating effectiveness of procedures.
  • Supporting disaster recovery and business continuity planning exercises.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience managing the effective implementation of backup and restore procedures and working practices.
  • Experience reviewing backup and restoring reports on a daily basis and monitoring backup and restoring information, standards, procedures, measurements, tools and technology.
  • Experience determining what reports are produced and the reporting schedule.
  • Experience working closely with Service Level Management to ensure data management services remain capable of meeting ongoing and future requirements.
  • Experience estimating overall storage resource and budget requirements for Asset Management as input to the IT plan in conjunction with other process owners.
  • Experience collating and analyzing process measurements associated with data management and recommends improvement activities based on service deviation.

Required minimum skills and knowledge:

  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, or a related field.

 

Multiple levels can be accommodated.

  • Senior Level:
    • Bachelor's degree + 6 years of experience OR Master's degree + 4 years of experience OR PhD degree + 2 years of experience
    • Compensation: $97,400 - $152,225
  • Expert Level:
    • Bachelor's degree + 8 years of experience OR Master's degree + 6 years of experience OR PhD degree + 4 years of experience
    • Compensation: $117,800 - $184,100

 

Desired Qualifications

  • IC experience is highly desirable.
  • Experience with having successfully demonstrated the ability to independently conduct the appropriate analysis to offer recommendations, solutions, and alternatives to resolve issues, concerns, problems, or methods.
  • Experience in establishing strong working relationships with program managers as well as organization leadership; tracking task order efforts to rapidly identify and resolve potential and new problems; and identifying and resolving administrative and contractual issues related to a support services contract.
  • Ability to solve problems in a rapidly changing environment, and interface with customers directly. 
  • Strong understanding of intelligence disciplines, methodologies, and the intelligence cycle. 
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic, and team environment.

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package.


Posted Salary Range

USD $97,400.00 - USD $184,100.00 /Yr.
