Responsibilities

Noblis MSD’s mission is to support the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) and Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWCPD) in their missions to enable research, development, test and evaluation, acquisition, engineering, systems integration, in-service and fleet engineering with cybersecurity, comprehensive logistics, and life-cycle savings. 

 

The roles shall include:

  • Perform on-site support during ship alterations, overhauls, and repair evolutions related to HM&E systems.
  • Utilize established documents in support of acquiring material that has a Long Lead Time, obsolete, and or is out of stock. Conduct focused research supporting part identification and its alternative/equivalent/replacement.
  • Interpret information from databases/sources: Assist, Cage, Configuration, Cortel Library (drawings and Technical Manuals) FedMall, LogiQuest, Military Specifications, NAVSUP, One Touch Support, PRIME, Surface Ship Support Center (SSSC), TDMIS, WebFlis, etc.

  • Crosscheck collected information, recorded errors, and proposed to appropriate personnel to update the information.

  • Suggest changes to a Technical Manual via the submission of a Technical Manual Deficiency Evaluation Report, TMDER.

  • Recommendations in the procurement, repair, and or replacement of Items (actuators, bearings, capstans, controllers, lighting, motors, pumps, sliding padeyes, valves, windows, etc.) during a ship’s scheduled and unscheduled maintenance availability.

  • Collaborate with engineers, logisticians, and program leads to support technical execution of field work in accordance with Navy maintenance and modernization protocols by providing options to the Maintenance Teams, Manufacturers, Planning Yard, Repair Shops, Surface Fleet, Suppliers, SURFLANT, Vendors, etc. iso Fleet Operations.
  • Adhere to Navy safety, security, and configuration management standards during all shipboard and facility-based work activities.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and 1-3 years of hands-on experience working with U.S. Navy shipboard systems and equipment OR in lieu of a Bachelor's degree will also consider an Associate's degree & 3 years of experience OR High School & 6 years of experience.

  • Working experience with U.S. Navy shipboard systems and equipment.
  • Experience planning and scheduling shipboard work activities, including material tracking and coordination with shipyards or field activities.
  • US Citizen with an active Secret Clearance

 

Desired Qualifications

  • NAVSEA Ship Alteration Installation Team (AIT) Familiarization
  • Use of shipboard test equipment and tools
  • Proficiency with Navy documentation systems (e.g., DFS, LARs, CASREP support)
  • Access to Assist, Cage, CDMD-OA, DeckPlate, FedMall, MBPS, One Touch, Priority Material Office, Surface Ship Support Center (SSSC), WebFlis
  • Experience in identifying material and logistic requirements for ship alteration and repair.

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package.


Posted Salary Range

USD $52,600.00 - USD $82,150.00 /Yr.
