Noblis MSD’s mission is to support the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) and the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD). As part of this mission, Noblis MSD is hiring several Submarine Systems Engineers at various career levels to support current and future engineering needs at the Philadelphia Naval Yard. These roles are ideal for former Navy Submarine Officers with technical, operational, and leadership experience related to submarine systems and nuclear propulsion.

 

Positions Available:

We are seeking engineers for both current and future openings. We are considering a range of submarine-related backgrounds to provide support for auxiliary and machinery control systems, as well as nuclear propulsion and systems integration projects.

Relevant Navy Officer MOCs / Designators:

Officers with the following Navy backgrounds are highly encouraged to apply:

  • 1120 – Submarine Warfare Officer (Nuclear)
  • 6200 / 6230 – Engineering Duty Officer (Submarine/Nuclear)
  • 1440 / 1210 – LDOs with Engineering or Submarine Warfare backgrounds
  • 510X / 6130 / 6235 – CWOs with Engineering, Maintenance, or Nuclear specialization

 

Relevant positions held in the Navy may include:

  • Engineer Officer (ENG)
  • Main Propulsion Assistant (MPA)
  • Assistant Engineer (AENG)
  • Damage Control Assistant (DCA)
  • QA Officer
  • TYCOM, Squadron, or NAVSEA/NAVSUP shore roles

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 0 to 5+ years of related experience, or a High School Diploma and 6 to11+ years of related experience; or equivalent experience serving on a Nuclear Submarine.
  • Experience in nuclear propulsion, submarine systems, and/or shipboard operations
  • US Citizen with a DoD Secret is desired; the ability to get a Secret Clearance is required

Junior-Level 

  • Bachelor's degree and 0 - 3 years of experience or a HS Diploma and at least 6 years relevant experience 
  • Background in US Navy Nuclear Submarine Systems

 

Mid-Level 

  • Bachelor's degree in and 3 to 5 years of experience or a HS Diploma and at least 9 years relevant experience 
  • Midi-level background in US Navy Nuclear Submarine Systems

 Senior-Level 

  • Bachelor's degree in and 5+ years of experience or a HS Diploma and at least 11 years relevant experience 
  • Senior experience in US Navy Nuclear Submarine Systems

 

 

Desired Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to read and understand technical documentation
  • Ability to troubleshoot challenging technical issues
  • NAVSUP experience

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package.


Posted Salary Range

USD $63,600.00 - USD $145,550.00 /Yr.
