Responsibilities

Noblis ESI is seeking a System Program Office (SPO) Systems Engineering and Integration Team (SEIT) Systems Engineer to support our government client in Chantilly, Virginia. 

 

Responsibilities Include: 

  • Provide Systems Engineering Technical Assistance (SETA) to the PM/COTR.
  • This individual will serve on the Noblis ESI Systems Engineering and Integration Team providing support to a major space system acquisition program.
  • Support the Team Lead and PM in the execution of system engineering process activities and provide technical analysis and feedback in support of program major milestone activities.
  • Support the Team Lead in the oversight of developer’s system implementation, including readiness evaluation for major design, manufacture, integration, and test milestones.
  • Support management and execution of program-level SEIT plans and processes (e.g. SEP, IVV&TMP, CMP, RMP, SMP) as well as technical baseline management of developmental system, program requirements, and lifecycle readiness management milestones.

Required Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI with Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph clearance.
  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (BSTEM).
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience, with at least 5 years of experience in space system development.
  • Familiarity or substantive knowledge of:
    • Spacecraft subsystem and system implementation, integration, and test activities.
    • Communication systems, mission management, and mission processing systems support.
    • Verification and Validation (V&V) processes across space and ground system segments.
    • Software development of mission management and mission processing segments.
  • Experience supporting acquisition and system engineering processes for major IC (ICD 801/MSAs) or DOD (DOD 5000/ACAT I) acquisition programs.
  • Must be able to travel (less than 25%).

Desired Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Business, Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (BSTEM).
  • Minimum of 15 years of space system development experience, including both time in a spacecraft factory environment and time supporting a System Program Office.
  • Experience generating, evaluating, and tracking Technical Performance Measures and the test cases to assess them.
  • Experience generating and codifying inter-segment and inter-system interface requirements for major space mission systems.
  • Experience developing test cases that trace from segment requirements, facilitating overall system sell-off activities during post-integration testing activities.
  • Experience collecting and analyzing verification campaign data from the component level up in support of system level verification.
  • Experience managing large program integration efforts, including early identification of challenge points and development of mitigation plans to resolve them.
  • Experience developing, editing, and updating system architecture and CONOPs documentation as a system mission model refines.
  • Thorough understanding of requirements development and the process of generating system, segment, and subsystem requirements from high level architecture and system CONOPs documentation.
  • Understanding of DoD and IC space operations tactics, techniques, and procedures including CONOPS, architectures, and environments.
  • Familiarity with the IC enterprise architecture, DOD's space architecture, and translation of Statement of Capabilities and Enterprise Capability Document line items to CONOPs and architectures.
  • Experience working on Joint programs and familiarity with inter-government organization coordination.
  • Advanced skills in writing, reviewing, and editing technical and process plan documentation, statements of work, white papers, and other technical and programmatic documents.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to summarize and brief senior level Government leaders, civilians, and military officers.

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package.


Posted Salary Range

USD $142,600.00 - USD $222,850.00 /Yr.
