This position serves as the Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) Data Science Support Lead for the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), Cooperative Threat Directorate (CT), Mission Integration Department (CT-MI). The DoD Cooperative Threat Reduction (CTR) Program’s mission is to (1) prevent the proliferation or use of WMD by working with partner nations to secure, eliminate, detect, interdict, and protect against WMD and related materials; and (2) build partner nation capacity to safely detect and report biological incidents at their source. The DoD CTR Program carries out this mission to protect the U.S. homeland, U.S. forces and citizens abroad, and our Allies and partners. CT-MI provides support to the entire CT directorate and offices in 22 countries. CT-MI provides general program and administrative support for CT, including the following; travel, strategic planning, manpower/ human capital, training, and other mission critical functions.
The Data, Assessments, and Metrics team within MI produces data-centric support to enable informed decision-making and strategic planning through metrics, data analysis, and assessment, to advance the CTR mission. The Data Science Support Lead is responsible for advising government clients and A&AS support staff on all aspects of data science related workflows across CTR. In this role, you will work on teams with other data scientists, software developers, and SMEs to apply best practices to develop and manage workflows that ingest large volumes of raw data from various sources, wrangle and transform data for analysis, create pipelines to automate data movement, implement quality checks, and utilize data tools to query data to develop visualizations and analysis for valuable agency insights. Your primary focus will be to advise on technical and strategic approach in developing and deploying advanced data analytics functionality to identify measurable value and success within CTR.

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package.
