Responsibilities

US Navy Senior Logistics Manager - Functional Lead

Noblis MSD’s mission is to support objectives of SEA 21, NAVSEA’s Director of Surface Ship Maintenance, Modernization, and Sustainment.  Noblis MSD seeks to integrate sustainment and maintenance strategies, modernization plans, training needs, technical, logistics, and programmatic efforts for the Navy’s non-nuclear surface fleet throughout the ships’ lifecycle, from fleet introduction through transfer or disposal.

The successful candidate will provide logistical management support and be a strategic advisor to SEA 21 in Washington DC at the Washington Navy Yard.  The on-site Senior Logistics Manager will manage a large and geographically dispersed team (including CONUS and OCONUS sites) leading logistical support to aid SEA 21 and the surface Navy enterprise in the oversight, management, policy, and guidance to meet ship lifecycle objectives for all Navy surface ship classes. Specific tasks will include:

  • Provide innovative solutions to plan, organize, and execute logistics support across cross-functional teams and activities, such as complex multi-year maintenance planning, repair analysis, test equipment recommendations, and major ship modernization efforts
  • Direct team activities, establishing task priorities, scheduling and tracking work assignments, providing guidance, and ensuring the availability of resources
  • Manage the logistical aspects of product life cycles, including coordinating and provisioning and minimizing obsolescence
  • Perform system lifecycle cost analysis and develop component studies
  • Develop or maintain models for logistics uses, such as cost estimating or demand forecasting
  • Develop logistics metrics, internal analysis tools, and key performance indicators for programs

 

Noblis MSD professionals in logistics are responsible for managing the movement and storage of goods and materials throughout the supply chain to ensure timely delivery, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction. They utilize their expertise in transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and distribution to optimize logistics operations and meet business objectives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 12 years professional experience in logistics or related field.
  • Defense Acquisition University (DAU) Life Cycle Logistics Advanced Certification or equivalent
  • Demonstrated competency in DoD logistics systems
  • Demonstrated supervisory skills
  • Demonstrated ability to train and develop Logisticians
  • SECRET clearance or ability to obtain SECRET clearance

Desired Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree
  • 15 years professional experience in logistics or related field
  • Experience supporting a DoD component

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package.

Posted Salary Range

USD $112,700.00 - USD $176,150.00 /Yr.
