Professionals in procurement and purchasing are responsible for acquiring goods and services required by organizations to support their operations and objectives. They utilize their expertise in supply chain management, vendor management, and negotiation to ensure cost-effective procurement and timely delivery of goods and services. Typical responsibilities include identifying procurement needs and requirements, researching and evaluating potential suppliers and vendors, and negotiating terms and conditions to secure favorable pricing, quality, and delivery terms. Procurement and purchasing roles also involve creating and managing purchase orders and contracts, tracking and monitoring supplier performance, and resolving issues and disputes related to purchasing activities. Additionally, professionals may be involved in forecasting demand and optimizing procurement processes and workflows to minimize costs and improve efficiency. Their expertise in areas such as supplier selection, contract management, and cost analysis enable organizations to procure goods and services efficiently, minimize supply chain risks, and achieve cost savings and operational excellence.
You solve a variety of structured problems by applying professional standards and Noblis concepts and methodologies. As an employee, you: Work on assignments of small to moderate scope that may scale to other tasks and/or teams. Apply a variety of professional methods, techniques, and concepts; adapt methods, processes, or tools to meet needs efficiently. Analyze and interpret a wide range of issues autonomously, exercise sound judgment and discretion within guidelines. Receive weekly supervision; get general instructions for routine work, more detailed for new/non-routine tasks. Interpret and recommend simple process improvement solutions. Build and maintain effective relationships across groups.

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package.
