Responsibilities

Noblis is seeking to hire a Quality Assurance Engineer with an ACTIVE Top Secret Clearance in Quantico, VA

 

Professionals in quality assurance engineering are responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of software products throughout the software development lifecycle. They employ a systematic approach to identify defects, prevent regressions, and verify that software meets defined requirements and standards. Typical responsibilities include developing test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on software requirements and specifications, executing test cases manually or using automated testing tools, and documenting and tracking defects to resolution. Software quality assurance engineering roles also involve collaborating with software developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand product features and functionality, and providing feedback to improve software design, usability, and maintainability. Additionally, professionals may participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing processes, tools, and methodologies. Their expertise in areas such as software testing techniques, test automation frameworks, defect tracking systems, and quality assurance best practices enables organizations to deliver high-quality software products that meet user expectations and business objectives.

 

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Carry out procedures to ensure that all information systems, products and services meet organization standards and end-user requirements.  
  • Perform and lead tests of software to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects. May create test data for applications.  
  • Document and work to resolve all complex problems.  
  • Report progress on problem resolution to management.  
  • Devise improvements to current procedures and develop models of possible future configurations.  
  • Act as information resource about assigned areas to technical writers and other Quality Assurance Analysts.  
  • Perform complex workflow analysis and recommend quality improvements. 

 

 

 

Required Qualifications

  • US Citizenship required.
  • Must have an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Must have a bachelor degree along with 5 years of professional related experience
  • Familiarity with cloud services (AWS EC2, RDS, S3) and hybrid cloud solutions.
  • Experience supporting networks in classified environments with strict compliance to NIST standards. 
  • Working knowledge of disaster recovery planning and failover cluster management. 

Desired Qualifications

  • Strong documentation and technical writing skills. 
  • Experience in scientific/forensic applications is preferred.

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package.

Posted Salary Range

USD $107,100.00 - USD $167,325.00 /Yr.
