Responsibilities

The Remote Telecommunications Infrastructure Replacement (RTIR) Enterprise Data Architect will facilitate the coordination of efforts to address the termination of telecommunications infrastructure that the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) relies upon to support the National Airspace System (NAS). They must have a strong understanding of the underlying telecommunications that support the NAS, how this infrastructure is changing due to shifting industry trends, and the impact these changes will have on the FAA to drive solutions and help the FAA lead determine prioritizations of solutions and sites.

 

This position will collaborate with the FAA Telecommunications Infrastructure (FTI) team to determine solutions to issues from telecommunications infrastructure discontinuances and promote alternatives that minimize operational risk to the NAS. They will perform analysis, design, and implementation of enterprise data management strategies. This individual will also translate business strategy and vision into an executable data strategy by partnering with key stakeholders across the FAA, system and data owners, and vendors.

 

This individual will perform tasks including but not limited to:

  • Contribute to the development of an enterprise data management plan.
  • Develop solutions to provide data insights into telecommunications orders, implementation, activities, and other key areas.
  • Provide expertise for new software and application programming interfaces (API) development efforts.
  • Conduct the augmentation of existing data models into a single data warehouse across the FAA telecommunications portfolio.
  • Develop governance regarding the information among systems providing or consuming FAA telecommunications data.
  • Establish data quality management and data quality assurance guidelines.
  • Explore use of novel technologies for capturing, managing, and analyzing complex interdependencies of NAS sites and telecommunication services.

The resource must be able to multitask, be proactive, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment to ensure program deliverables and tight deadlines are met.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree, 8 years of relevant experience (minimum).

  • OR associate's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline with 10+ years of professional experience. OR high school + 14 years of professional experience.

Ability to travel up to 10%

Desired Qualifications

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • FAA experience or knowledge of the FAA Telecommunications Infrastructure (FTI) network
  • Work at a similar size Federal Agency
  • Ability to lead organizational teams
  • Past success in achieving program objectives of similar size or scope
  • Skilled at managing stakeholder expectations and satisfaction
  • Proven track record delivering on schedule

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package.

Posted Salary Range

USD $112,700.00 - USD $176,150.00 /Yr.
