Technology and threats evolve rapidly in today's ever-changing environment. In response, DHS S&T was established by Congress to provide innovative scientific and technical solutions to the nation's homeland security challenges. TCD’s Tech Centers are home to experts in a broad range of scientific and engineering disciplines including biological and chemical sciences; behavioral, social, and economic sciences; computer, data, and mathematical sciences; modeling and simulation; cybersecurity; artificial intelligence; detection sciences; electrical and mechanical engineering; communications and network engineering; and autonomous systems. They conduct basic and applied research to build knowledge and understanding of emerging technologies, scientific advancements, and evolving threats and hazards.

Position Summary: Provide subject matter expertise in sensor technology with a significant focus on quantum sensing. Develop a quantum sensor technology strategy and roadmap for HSE applications. Conduct research and analysis on future trends and emerging technologies in quantum sensor, other quantum technology, and other sensor technology, and recommend potential areas for research investment.
