Responsibilities

Noblis is seeking to hire a Software Developer with a UI focus in Reston, VA

 

As a Software Developer with our team, you will be working with our federal clients to rapidly develop innovative solutions for immediate mission challenges. In this role, you will work across a portfolio of projects with other developers, engineers, data scientists, and subject matter experts (SMEs) to design, develop, and test software applications. You will be asked to analyze our clients' challenges and provide solutions by identifying and applying appropriate tools and technologies and developing various types of applications. Developer responsibilities include researching, programming, debugging, and working in a fast-paced, collaborative, team environment. In this role you will also be asked to regularly communicate with your team, perform code reviews, keep track of tickets, and communicate with clients to provide progress status updates.

 

On our team, you will:

  • Develop cutting edge solutions to maximize the performance, stability, and distribution processing of systems
  • Assist in building Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery pipelines to ensure code is constantly being tested and delivered
  • Participate in code reviews, both as a reviewer and a submitter
  • Work in an Agile environment facilitated by tools like Gitlab, Jira, Confluence, Teams, and Outlook
  • Improve your knowledge of software development best practices

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering or related technological domains
  • 0-3+ years of experience
  • Proficient in at least one of the following languages: Python (preferred), Java, Typescript, JavaScript, C
  • Proficient in at least one of the following database technologies: PostgreSQL (preferred), MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB
  • Experience with one of the following front-end frameworks: Vue.js (preferred), React, Angular, Prime NG - material framework
  • Experience with one of the following back-end frameworks: fastapi (preferred), flask, express, Spring Boot
  • Understanding of software testing and quality assurance best practices
  • Experience with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Proficient with git and git workflows
  • Able to work on-site in Reston, VA
  • Must be able to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship
  • Ability to obtain clearance at the Top Secret with SCI and Polygraph level

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Visual Studio Code, Pycharm.
  • Experience working in cloud environments such as AWS or Azure.
  • Experience with role-based access controls.
  • Experience with security within a software application.
  • Ability to learn and work on different parts of a software stack.
  • Expert knowledge of python
  • Proficient developing standards-based REST or GraphQL APIs
  • Top Secret with SCI and Polygraph level

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package.

Posted Salary Range

USD $77,800.00 - USD $121,600.00 /Yr.
