Responsibilities

Noblis is seeking an experienced Enterprise Systems Engineer/Architect SME to join our team in the Bethesda, Maryland area. 

 

As a Enterprise Systems Engineer SME, you will play a critical role in shaping our client's enterprise architecture, driving core to edge cloud and data-related initiatives across the client's organization. 

 

Responsibilities Include: 

  • Architecture and Integration Planning: Propose methods and tools, and create related deliverables for integrating and adopting community architecture solutions.
  • Current State Assessments: Capture, review, and assess current state architecture for cloud infrastructure services & capabilities and provide analytical assessments with a proposed way forward for future vision and strategy documents.
  • Multiple Cloud Strategy: Establish and implement mechanisms that provide for a multiple cloud architecture strategy.
  • Hybrid Multi-cloud Edge Solutions: Provide prescriptive guidance on defining the minimum viable products (MVP) for regional and edge cloud architectures.
  • Long-Term Thinking: Develop and execute data strategies that consider long-term implications, anticipating future needs and trends.
  • AI Integration: Explore AI and machine learning techniques within a diverse cloud environment and analyze its impacts on architecture. Explore emerging data sources generated by AI models and propose how they may integrate into a cloud data ecosystem.

The successful candidate must be capable of working in a team environment to:

  • Provide cloud "Core to Edge" implementation plans and best practices.
  • Provide Edge MVP launch plan documents.
  • Provide knowledge transfer regarding edge architecture design and strategy.
  • Assist Customer with identifying solutions for unique edge requirements.
  • Assist Customer with conducting edge requirements assessment.
  • Assist Customer with gathering details on current state edge solutions to include architecture resiliency.
  • Assist Customer with application stack edge knowledge.
  • Provide general recommendations on maturing future state architecture and edge capabilities.
  • Champion a data mesh paradigm.

Required Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI with Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph.
  • Requires a Bachelor's degree with 8 to 12 years of prior relevant experience OR Master's degree with 6 to 10 years of prior relevant experience OR PhD in relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science) with 4 years of relevant experience. 
  • Five or more years of experience working with or in the Intelligence Community (IC).
  • Familiarity with cloud platform and technologies.
  • Communication skills for technical writing, oral briefings, and executive-level presentations.
  • Passion for staying up-to-date with industry trends and advancements. 

Desired Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Data Tagging and Taxonomy, API Brokers, Compute and Storage Optimization, and Qualitative Computing. 
  • Knowledge of and experience working with IC policies, directives, and standards. 
  • Experience with data visualization tools/software (e.g., Tableau, MS PowerBI) to develop and deliver analysis solutions and visualizations.

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package.

Posted Salary Range

USD $125,500.00 - USD $196,075.00 /Yr.
