Responsibilities

Noblis is seeking an experienced Senior Business Unit and Corporate Finance Lead to support our dynamic team in Reston, Virginia. This position is open to a hybrid work location in support of a work-life balance environment. 

 

Reporting directly to the Senior Corporate Business Services Manager and working with other team members, this seasoned financial professional will be an integral part of the Corporate Business Services team supporting the Noblis Defense Business Unit and Shared Services organization.  Responsibilities will include financial reporting and analysis at the Business Unit and Account levels including presenting financial results during monthly meetings with Senior Leadership to include the Business Unit Vice President and Corporate CFO. 

 

Additionally, this role provides indirect planning and budgeting support, direct program/project support, and risk management/mitigation assistance. This position will also support our finance team with implementing and managing both indirect and direct budget requirements in support of our internal financial systems and corporate reporting.  

 

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: 

  • Working directly with the Defense Business Unit VP and Account leads to ensure they understand the financial monthly results under their purview as they strive toward meeting the Fiscal Year plan.
  • On a quarterly basis work with the Business Unit account leads to update financial projections based on changes to program/project portfolio (e.g. factoring revenue/cost projections created by award of new contracts).
  • Track indirect budgets in relation to spend on specific initiatives (e.g. Bid and Proposal).
  • Responsible for weekly/monthly cost and schedule variance analysis vs our planned baselines working with team members, develop and support WBS and project/task number structures.
  • Review and understand contractual funding and program/project impacts.
  • May participate in review/approval of the project invoices and/or subcontractor invoices.
  • Direct interface with Program and Project leaders developing cost and schedule baselines.
  • Provide budget, cost and EAC analysis on direct and indirect project and programs.

Required Qualifications

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with a minimum of 8 years of experience OR Master’s degree with a minimum of 6 years of experience OR Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with a minimum of 11 years of relevant experience OR High School Diploma and 14 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and must have a strong working knowledge of Excel.
  • Demonstrated experience with U.S. government cost accounting, budgeting, and project cost reporting.
  • Experience supporting CPFF, T&M, and Fixed Price contracts.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to present financial data to Senior Leadership in a way that enables them to efficiently digest the key drivers.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with Deltek Costpoint, PowerBI, and Cognos Enterprise Reporting (CER) is highly desired.
  • Previous people management experience is a plus. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work well independently and with a team.
  • Strong initiative, detail orientation, organizational skills, and aptitude for numbers.
  • Ability to multitask within a deadline-oriented environment.

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package.

Posted Salary Range

USD $99,100.00 - USD $154,825.00 /Yr.
