Responsibilities

The Pre-Commissioning Unit (PCU) Fleet Introduction Manager is responsible for running the daily operations at the Pre-Commissioning Unit in Bath, ME, and Marinette, WI. This position will oversee all administrative, personnel, travel, security, logistics and technical support provided to the US Navy PCU crews.

 

  • Provide support to New Construction commands in all major milestone evolutions (e.g. shipbuilding and repair milestones for new construction), and provide administrative assistance in all departmental areas in preparation for initial crew arrival and utilization. 
  • Provide daily interaction with Pre-Commissioning (PRECOM) crew leadership, SUPSHIP and build yard personnel. 
  • Provide support to Prospective Commanding Officers, Prospective Executive Officers, and Department Heads in preparation for Christening activities, certification events, move-aboard, and sail-away. 
  • Prepare and submit contractual deliverables.
  • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of a project and team. 
  • Provide team development to include hiring, mentoring, and leading. 
  • Provide recommendations to improve standard practices, procedures and tools.
  • Provide technical guidance to the team and crews.
  • Forecast resource requirements and resolve contractual issues as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 8 years' experience, Associates degree and 11 years' experience,OR HS diploma and 14 years' experience, OR Master's degree and 6 years' experience
  • Prior experience managing staff or leading a team
  • Must have experience in US Navy operating procedures with a solid understanding of the new construction pre-commissioning process. 
  • 10 years of management experience, 5 of which were in the last 10 years. 
  • 5 years of US Navy experience 
  • Current Secret Clearance

  • Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with team members, clients, technical personnel, and company management.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.

Salary at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, and clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and are based on full time status. Part time staff receive a prorated salary based on regularly scheduled hours. The estimated minimum and maximum displayed represents the broadest range for this position (inclusive of high geographic and high clearance requirements), and is just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package for employees.


 

Posted Salary Range

USD $108,090.00 - USD $168,910.00 /Yr.
