Responsibilities

Surface Maintenance and Engineering Planning Program (SURFMEPP) was established to provide centralized surface ship life cycle maintenance engineering, and class maintenance planning and management.  SURFMEPP’s primary mission is to maintain and modernize in-service ships throughout the ship’s expected service life focusing on a complete, well-engineered, and continuously improving Class Maintenance Plan (CMP). 

 

SURFMEPP’s Life Cycle Maintenance Analysts perform technical research to support notional funding documents for Surface Ship Navy Maintenance.  They are responsible for conducting independent technical and cost analysis/studies utilizing CNO Availability Close-Out Data from various sources such as NMD, TYCOM Ledgers, MRS, and RMC Business Offices.  Life Cycle Maintenance Analysts attend monthly meetings and program reviews and contribute to the overall program success in notional funding document development.  They will draft briefs containing recent findings and recommendations for government leadership on a routine basis.

 

Required Qualifications

  •  High School Diploma or GED is required.
  •  4 - 15 years of relevant professional experience
  •  DOD SECRET Security Clearance
  •  U.S. Navy ship depot level maintenance planning process, either from a requirement or a Class Maintenance Plan perspective.
  •  Performing research and data analysis to identify trends and relevant issues

Desired Qualifications

  •  Use of MS Office Suite tools
  •  Drafting and delivering technical presentations
  •  Appropriate written and verbal communication skills to interact with U.S. Navy personnel
  •  Proficiency in Navy automated information systems used in surface ship maintenance scheduling, such as: M&SWP, VSB, NMD, NDE and other maintenance databases.

Salary at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, and clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and are based on full time status. Part time staff receive a prorated salary based on regularly scheduled hours. The estimated minimum and maximum displayed represents the broadest range for this position (inclusive of high geographic and high clearance requirements), and is just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package for employees.


 

Posted Salary Range

USD $18.17 - USD $31.80 /Hr.
