Noblis MSD’s mission is to support the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) and Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWCPD) in their missions to enable research, development, test and evaluation, acquisition, engineering, systems integration, in-service and fleet engineering with cybersecurity, comprehensive logistics, and life-cycle savings.  Noblis MSD is seeking a Systems Administrator to support U.S. Navy Submarine Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E) programs.  You will provide engineering and technical assistance support in the Philadelphia Navy Yard.


The Systems Administrator will provide Information Technology and Cybersecurity support to U.S. Navy test laboratories. The candidate's responsibilities shall include providing laboratory system administration support, which includes the following: installation, configuration, integration, patching, user registration, file backups, troubleshooting and problem resolution for client workstations, servers, hypervisors, database servers, Storage Area Networks, and other related IT systems and operational applications.

  • Support configuration change documentation and control processes and maintaining DOD STIG Compliance. Installation of security patches on servers, remediation of vulnerabilities and reporting of patch compliance. Advise on security patches and remediation.
  • Integrate automated capabilities for updating or patching system software where practical, and develop processes and procedures for manual system software updating and patching using current and projected patch timeline requirements for the system’s operational environment.
  • Performing routine audits of systems and software, adding, removing, or updating user accounts information, resetting passwords.
  • Answering technical queries, maintaining security posture, monitor system security, documenting
  • Analyze event logs and monitor servers and apply corrective actions when necessary to ensure all servers are operational
  • Upgrade server hardware, including memory, hard drives, external media devices (optical and non-optical), monitors, motherboards, processors, video cards, network cards, and other special purpose cards.
  • Provie technical support in delivering cyber-secure systems and solutions including vulnerability assessments, Anti-Virus scanning, and technical input for the development of Risk Management Framework (RMF) documentation.

Qualified candidates may be eligible for a signing bonus.




  • REQUIRED: Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Computer and Information Systems, Computer Science, or other related Engineering or IT related field
  • Security+ certification required
  • Minimum of four (4) years professional as a Systems Administrator and/or related IT role
  • Prior experience capturing and refining information security operational and security requirements
  • Prior experience implementing security controls, configuration changes, software/hardware patches, vulnerability scanning, and securing configurations
  • Demonstrated experience with both Windows and Linux operating systems
  • Secret clearance highly desired will consider the ability to obtain a secret

Salary at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, and clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and are based on full time status. Part time staff receive a prorated salary based on regularly scheduled hours. The estimated minimum and maximum displayed represents the broadest range for this position (inclusive of high geographic and high clearance requirements), and is just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package for employees.
