Responsibilities

Noblis MSD’s mission is to support the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) and, Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWCPD) and their missions’ to enable research, development, test and evaluation, acquisition, engineering, systems integration, in-service and fleet engineering with cybersecurity, comprehensive logistics, and life-cycle savings.  Noblis MSD is looking to hire an Electrical Engineering Tech.

 

Noblis MSD is seeking an Electrical Engineering candidate with advanced knowledge in electrical schematics to support various hull, mechanical and electrical systems (HM&E), and research, development, test and evaluation (RDT&E) programs for the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia Division. Candidate duties will include the following:

 

  • Seeking an individual is hands on and has troubleshot computers, OS and has either identified or repaired to the lowest repairable unit.
  • Willing to learn Machinery Control Systems (MCS) and must learn how to acknowledge the MCS active alarm on a daily basis in order to determine what is broken and faulted out.
  • Repair the faulted component from the tactical VME hardware to the simulation computer and clear all active faults on the MCS HMI in order to support software testing efforts
  • Assist software and systems engineer to wire or rewire any required MCS unit to support software testing validation.
  • Assist ISSE in setting up the lab to perform quarterly scans
  • Maintain lab status using JIRA and confluence
  • Redline or work with team if lab configuration does not match the schematic
  • Assist with making cables and any required set up to test with other subsystem ISEA equipment’s

 

 

Qualifications

Minimum Education: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics. Associate or Electrician Certification or GSE equivalent will be considered in lieu of degree.

Minimum Experience: Three to Five (3-5) years of experience within industry as a systems, electrical, and/or electronics technician; two (2) year of professional experience reading electrical schematics; One (1)

year of professional experience troubleshooting network based systems

  • Knowledge of serial or profibus and usage of a scope a plus
  • Being a team player and able to clearly openly communicate with each team member and the team leads is required

Salary at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, and clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and are based on full time status. Part time staff receive a prorated salary based on regularly scheduled hours. The estimated minimum and maximum displayed represents the broadest range for this position (inclusive of high geographic and high clearance requirements), and is just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package for employees.
