Responsibilities

The Corrosion Control Planner works on processes and products associated with the development and implementation of corrosion control maintenance strategies, research and analysis of corrosion control maintenance data, Surface Ship tank planning reports, and evaluation of task assessment results.  The SME monitors performance measurements by project and tasking and promotes continuous quality improvement.  This position is in Yokosuka, Japan.

 

This position requires a thorough understanding of the U. S. Navy surface ship maintenance and modernization end to end process, the JFMM planning process requirements, and the NAVSEA Corrosion Control Assessment and Maintenance Manual. Position requires a working level knowledge of the Corrosion Control Information Management System, NMD, and the VSB and M&SWP automated information systems.

 

Routine duties include:

  • Engineers and manages surface ship class Corrosion Plans during the advanced planning and planning process.
  • Tracks corrosion Mandatory Technical Requirements during CNO Availability execution.
  • Interacts with and provides Corrosion SME to maintenance stakeholders.

Qualifications

Required minimum skills and knowledge:

  • Bachelors and 3, Associates and 6 or HS/GED and 9 years of experience. Experience must be relevaent and demonstrate ability to perform assigned work. 
  • 10 or more years of experience with Navy corrosion maintenance planning and/or execution.
  • Must be S-CAT qualified
  • Must have high proficiency with MS Office as well as web-based applications and databases.
  • Must be able to work independently and respond to short notice tasking.
  • Must be able to present information to large audiences in a clear and concise. manner and be able to facilitate effective meetings between multiple corrosion maintenance stakeholders.
  • Must have a DOD Security Clearance of SECRET or higher.

Desired skills and knowledge:

  • 10 or more years’ experience in:
    • Navy Surface Ship maintenance planning and work package management
    • Conducting database analysis for ongoing and historical trends from mutiple databases (eDFS/VSB/NMD)
    • Understanding of Technical Requirements of Corrosion and Structure (CCAMM/NSTM100)
    • Maintaining accuracy and integrity of Corrosion databases (CCIMS)
  • Eligible to travel

Salary at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, and clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and are based on full time status. Part time staff receive a prorated salary based on regularly scheduled hours. The estimated minimum and maximum displayed represents the broadest range for this position (inclusive of high geographic and high clearance requirements), and is just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package for employees.
