Mechanical Engineers – ALL LEVELS

 

Noblis MSD is looking for experienced and highly motivated Structural/Mechanical engineers to support NIWC PAC development.  Candidates must be experienced in development networking systems, and computer aided drawings and models.  The engineer will develop detailed engineering drawings and models for system design and upgrades.  Requires coordination with other functional teams, and working closely with government engineers and program sponsors.

 

Duties include:

  • Provide SME support for testing and balancing services and support for air and water systems
  • Review engineering design proposals, design drawings, specifications, and other technical document submissions and recommend improvements
  • Provide advice and guidance to government engineers involving all aspects of HVAC facilities design, construction, operation, and maintenance or repair
  • Review reports and studies to identify deficiencies and participate in the planning of construction/redesign programs
  • Establish energy and heat load budgets with the objective of identifying current deficiencies, anticipating future requirements, and estimating factors to be included in construction planning
  • Inspect construction projects or existing facilities to identify deficiencies, and recommend changes
  • Provide guidance, direction, and assistance to technicians working in related disciplines
  • Maintain technical liaison and communication between on-site technicians and the COR

Qualifications

Required Skills:

 

Active DoD Secret clearance

Ability to read, write and comprehend technical documentation, schematics and diagrams written under the ANSI standards

Must have 3D design experience in solid modeling programs such as SolidWorks, Unigraphics or Pro-E

Must be proficient in AutoCAD

 

Required Experience:

 

Mechanical engineering with experience in design, installation, operation and maintenance of automatic control systems

Supervision of plant operations, maintenance and repair of physical plant systems and equipment including large-scale HVAC plants and distribution systems

Resident engineering experience on construction projects with large, complex, and highly sophisticated systems

 

Junior-Level

B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering OR six years applicable experience in lieu of the degree

 

Mid-Level 1

B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering OR six years applicable experience in lieu of the degree

3 years’ experience (in addition to degree or substituted experience)

 

Mid-Level 2

B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering OR six years applicable experience in lieu of the degree

5 years’ experience (in addition to degree or substituted experience)

 

Senior-Level

B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering OR six years applicable experience in lieu of the degree

8 years’ experience (in addition to degree or substituted experience)

Salary at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, and clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and are based on full time status. Part time staff receive a prorated salary based on regularly scheduled hours. The estimated minimum and maximum displayed represents the broadest range for this position (inclusive of high geographic and high clearance requirements), and is just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package for employees.
