Responsibilities

**This position may be based in Norfolk, VA or San Diego, CA.**

 

The RMC Project Team Instructor serves as the RMC Project Team’s Pipe Fitting and Structural Subject Matter Expert (SME).  As such, they lead the delivery of CNRMC courses IAW developed curriculas across the RMC Enterprise as required by the CNRMC Training Plans.  Instructors will work with a wide variety of project team members with varying degrees of experience and are expected to adapt instructional strategies to meet student needs using a variety of instructional strategies to meet different learning styles.  Instructors will work closely with curriculum developers to improve and update training materials and course approaches and to explore and pilot new training courses.

 

 

Qualifications

Applicants must have the following minimum skills and knowledge:

  • Bachelors degree in a related field. Associates and High School Diploma or GED iwill be considered when combined with relevant job experience.
  • DOD SECRET Security Clearance
  • 10+ years of related experience

 

Desired skills and knowledge:

  • Experience delivering classroom instruction to Navy Personnel in Surface Ship maintenance and operations 
  • Experience working with or in Navy Regional Maintenance Centers
  • Navy Surface Ship Repair, Modernization related pipe fitting and/or ship structures
  • COMUSFLTFORCOM INST 4790.3, Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFMM)
  • Navy Maintenance Database (NMD);
  • NAVSEA Contracting Policy/Strategy
  • Regional Maintenance Center (RMC) Project Team Roles/ Responsibilities
  • NAVSEA Standard Items (NSI)
