Responsibilities

Noblis MSD has an immediate opening in San Diego, CA to provide Network Services Support as follows: 

 

This is a Network Administrator position supporting the IT Director, NOBLIS management, Government and US. Navy personnel associated with the technical aspects of information systems. Responsibilities may include:

 

  • Providing network services including connecting computers, printers, other devices and facilitate communication resource sharing between all of the devices.
  • Researching the best way to design a given network, taking into consideration constraints such as building layout, proximity to threats, and budget.
  • Obtaining and maintaining the various administrative requirements of new construction ships.
  • Providing daily, weekly, and monthly backups of exchange servers, supporting the PCU through HelpSTAR (ServicePRO) and working any requests that come in from users.
  • Creating and managing accounts, email addresses, distribution and security groups with Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange Management Console.
  • Setting permissions on folders using Security Groups in Active Directory.
  • Providing server administration including building and managing physical and virtual servers required for daily operation.
  • Providing server updates using Windows Server Update Services (WSUS).
  • Building Images and reimaging PCs as required using Microsoft Deployment Toolkit.
  • Completing STIG checklist in compliance with DISA requirements.
  • Scanning new systems with ACAS to ensure compliance with latest plugins.
  • Installing McAfee products (Agent, HIPS, DLP, and Antivirus) and monitoring all systems using HBSS to ensure compliance with DISA requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, OR minimum of six (6) years’ related experience may be substituted for degree requirement.
  • The position requires the candidate possess an active Secret SSBI security clearance.
  • The candidate must have or acquire an IAT Level 2 certification, see instruction DODINST 8570.1-M for guidance.
  • Candidate must possess the following certifications:
    • Security+
    • Operating System training certificate Linux / Microsoft 2008 or higher
  • Experience with the following:
    • Windows Server 2019
    • Windows 10
    • Active Directory
    • Imaging and deployment of Windows 10 workstations
    • Configure, maintain, and support Host Based Security System (HBSS) and clients
    • Maintain and support Citrix server solution
    • Tenable Security Center/Nessus Scanner (ACAS)
    • Database Administration
  • Candidate will need to organize tasks and services be able to work with competing priorities.
  • Candidate must understand server operating systems, electrical concepts, security and problem solving.
  • Candidate must be able to follow direction and at times be a self-starter.
  • Candidate must be willing to assist all ships force departments.
  • Must be able to physically maneuver on board US Navy Ships and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills are essential in this team orientated-customer service position.
  • Experience with VMware ESXi and VDI is a plus
