Noblis is seeking self-motivated, energetic Software/Application Engineers who are interested in becoming valued members of a collaborative FAA/Contractor team of talented engineers, developers, analysts, managers, and stakeholderss in a fast paced iterative and agile development environment.
Qualified candidates will provide full life cycle development and support to the FAA including:
  • Estimate and plan work items
  • Provide input on solutioning and/or software designs
  • Develop and test applications and interfaces
  • Participate in release activities and troubleshooting
  • Work closely with the Technical, Engineering and Test teams to understand system requirements and collaborate with a team to translate these needs into working software and applications
  • Improve yourself and your team through ongoing idea-sharing, collaboration, and problem-solving.
  • Work with the team to consistently deliver quality software on time and within budget
  • Recommend innovative solutions and/or improvements
The primary responsibilities will include:
  • Participating in the full software and system development life cycle including requirements analysis, design, development, implementation, testing, and maintenance
  • Integrating electronic hardware, analog/digital/IP interfaces and software to overall system/project
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams of software engineers, test engineers, systems engineers, program office personnel, and project managers
  • Authoring and contributing to technical project documentation
  • Occasional travel for testing, installation, or troubleshooting of systems at customer sites



Education & Experience: 
Requires Bachelor's Degree, and 6+ years relevant experience.
Minimum Position Needs: 
The candidate must possess life cycle system/software development experience, including:
  • Fluent in C/C++, including object-oriented design and implementation
  • Fluent in Python, including HTTP API design and implementation
  • Usage of version control software (e.g., Git)
  • Knowledge of software design process, patterns and anti-patterns
  • Familiarity with embedded Linux system design and implementation, including performance optimization
  • Comfortable with common software data structures and algorithms
  • Comfortable with Linux systems, including terminal interactions and configuration
  • Comfortable understanding System Requirements, Network Interfaces and Technical Specifications
Desired Skills:
The candidate should possess several of the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
  • Knowledge of the Federal Aviation Administration
  • Understanding of the National Airspace System (NAS)
  • Knowledge of Voice Communications Systems used for Air Traffic Control (ATC)
  • Understanding of Internet Protocol (IP) Networking and the OSI Model
  • Ability to collect/analyze data and communicate technical information
  • Strong oral, written and interpersonal communications skills
  • Ability to work independently to complete assigned tasks within expected schedule
  • Flexible/easily adaptable within a dynamic work environment
  • Customer-service and goal oriented
Work-from-Home location must be within 2-hour (or less) drive to Atlantic City, NJ
