Responsibilities

Noblis MSD’s mission is to support the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) and Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelpha (NSWCPD) in their missions to enable research, development, test and evaluation, acquisition, engineering, systems integration, in-service and fleet engineering with cybersecurity, comprehensive logistics, and life-cycle sustainment.  Noblis MSD is seeking a motivated individual to manage a team of engineering/technical staff supporting U.S. Navy hull, mechanical, and electrical (HM&E) programs. Team may consist of engineers, technicians, software developers, cybersecurity professionals and/or analysts. Responsibilities include:

 

  1. Gathering, reviewing, and understanding client/contractual technical requirements.
  2. Participating in the recruiting, hiring, and onboarding processes to staff technical requirements.
  3. Performing supervisory duties such as timecard approvals, professional development activities, performance reviews, and guidance on company processes.
  4. Reviewing status reports/deliverables such as engineering technical documentation, electrical/mechanical drawings, etc.
  5. Coordinate technical/contractual requirements as required.
  6. Effectively communicating technical matters and/or issues with employees, clients, and internal management.
  7. Project team development, including hiring, mentoring, and leading team members' client engagement on technical requirements, scope, and opportunities for business growth
  8. Application of Noblis MSD management methodology and enforcement of project management standards
  9. Mentor team members, especially those with less experience
  10. Assist team members in the execution of career development goals
  11. Continually seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and strengthen client relationships
  12. Build a knowledge base of each client's requirements, organization, and engineering, technical and programmatic objectives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering or Technical field.
  • 5+ years of professional experience working in an engineering or technical field.
  • Prior experience working on U.S. Navy and/or other DoD programs preferred.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Motivated individual looking to lead growing teams.
  • Prior personnel and/or project management experience preferred.
  • PMP Certification desired

Client Engagement

• Begin developing relationships one level up and two levels down. Identify and support opportunities to expand project scope beyond current deliverable and actively share information about clients’ emerging support needs and trends with team members and management.
· Participate on proposals
