The Navy Life Cycle Maintenance Planner works with specific focus on processes and products associated with the development and implementation of life cycle maintenance strategies for U.S. Navy Surface Ships.  Tasking includes research and analysis of life cycle maintenance data, use of Navy maintenance databases, and review of ship-specific maintenance packages to ensure material readiness for the ship’s projected service life.  This position is in Pearl Harbor, HI.

The Life Cycle Maintenance Planner is responsible for providing support to NAVSEA, TYCOM/Fleet activities and units, and maintenance organizations.  Some Responsibilities include: 

  • Liaison with Type Commander and Regional Maintenance Center representatives to obtain information in support of class and ship maintenance schedules. 
  • Interact with government and private maintenance activities to schedule class maintenance plan work and life cycle impacting repairs.
  • Access and collect unfiltered data to display in support of ship and regional maintenance activities maintenance. Utilize EXCEL, ACCESS and other database software applications to create data tables and charts.
  • Manage databases to support assessment and inspection teams.


Required minimum skills and knowledge:

  • Bachelor’s and minimum 3 years related experience or Master’s and minimum 1 year related experience; or equivalent work experience (HS-6, AA-6)
  • Five or more years of related military or civilian experience
  • 3-M Coordinator/Supervisor
  • Experience working on Navy database projects such as 3M, OARS, and NMD.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, ability to work independently, attention to detail, and superb customer interaction.
  • Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word (Strong Knowledge)
  • Microsoft Access (Adequate Knowledge)
  • Must have a DOD Security Clearance of SECRET or higher
  • Must be able to work independently and respond to short notice tasking.
  • Must be able to present information to large audiences in a clear and concise. manner and be able to facilitate effective meetings between multiple corrosion maintenance stakeholders.

Desired skills and knowledge:

  • 5 or more years drafting, routing and filing Navy Correspondence
  • Eligible to travel
  • Business communications

Salary at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, and clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and are based on full time status. Part time staff receive a prorated salary based on regularly scheduled hours. The estimated minimum and maximum displayed represents the broadest range for this position (inclusive of high geographic and high clearance requirements), and is just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package for employees.
