Responsibilities

Noblis is seeking to hire a Cloud Architect with an Active Top Secret SCI with Polygraph Clearance in Reston, VA.

 

Interested in meaningfully contributing to mission and joining our multi-disciplinary team working with our clients to design, create, deploy, migrate and maintain solutions in cloud environments? In your role you will work with various teams to design, develop, deploy, maintain, and migrate solutions in multiple environments for various national security missions that are transforming the way the Intelligence Community handles and analyzes information and translates it into actionable intelligence.

 

Our team consists of developers, data scientists, engineers, and analysts that have served federal, state, and local government clients on high-consequence problems in analytics, artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML),  and is engaged across the identity intelligence community and has been instrumental in making our customers’ programs successful in analytics, automation, and digital solutions spanning identity science, AI/ML, computer vision, biometrics, forensics, media analytics, systems engineering, software development/integration, machine learning operations (ML Ops), and cloud technologies.

 

Qualifications

Required skills and knowledge:

  • Bachelors degree in software engineering or related IT/Computer Science field and 5 or more years of professional experience 
  • Active TS clearance with Polygraph
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in one or more of the following areas: Linux system administration, database management, ML operations, software development and engineering, and cloud-based technologies
  • Hands on experience with a broad range of technology systems and can work with:
    • Linux configuration management systems
    • Cloud service providers including Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure
    • Any of the following configuration management systems: Ansible, Packer, Terraform
    • Programming languages and scripting methods including Python, Bash, Java, Javascript, C, C++, C# .NET, CSS, HTML, Shell Scripting, Groovy, .NET, SciKitLearn, TensorFlow, pandas
    • Monolithic and hybrid architectures and databases like PostgreSQL, Oracle, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, RDBMS, NoSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB
    • Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment systems: Jenkins, Gitlab, Bamboo, CloudFormation
    • Version control systems such as Git, CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, and container orchestration platforms such as Docker.
    • Microservice architectures, software platforms and frameworks like Flask, Kafka, Redis, NiFi, and Ansible.
    • Hands on experience on the front-end, back-end, and/or full stack and can work some or all tasks across the software development lifecycle – from database, backend services, APIs, web frontend, migration/deployment scripts, tests, and documentation
    • Hands-on experience with writing and maintaining automated tests (unit, integration, stress, load, etc.)
    • Knowledge of networking protocols and the ability to troubleshoot OS networking issues

Desired skills and knowledge:

  • Experience installing and/or maintaining an Openstack environment
  • Advanced networking knowledge to include: proxy gateways, virtual networks, VPNs and routing
  • Ability to work across the stack and willingness to expand scope of software development experience by adapting and learning new methodologies and technologies
  • Working knowledge of Agile software development frameworks (Scrum and SAFe) and hands-on experience with continuous integration, continuous delivery practices
  • Desire to work in an agile and cross functional team environment, understand team goals and generate appropriate, innovative analytical insights to drive process and experience improvement
  • Experience with the following Atlassian products: Jira/Zephyr, Confluence, and Fisheye
  • You challenge the status quo and are hungry to explore, evaluate, and understand new technologies
  • Experience working with USGC/law enforcement clients, operational components, and stakeholders
  • Ability to self-manage, has strong self-organization skills, and is eager to contribute
  • Comfortable working with teams across geographic bounds
  • Complements our existing team, likes solving problems, and is comfortable with ambiguity  
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment

Salary at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, and clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and are based on full time status. Part time staff receive a prorated salary based on regularly scheduled hours. The estimated minimum and maximum displayed represents the broadest range for this position (inclusive of high geographic and high clearance requirements), and is just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package for employees.
