Responsibilities

Noblis MSD is seeking a motivated individual to manage a team of engineering/technical staff supporting U.S. Navy hull, mechanical, and electrical (HM&E) programs. Team may consist of engineers, technicians, software developers, cybersecurity professionals and/or analysts.  The engineering manager will be responsible for:

  1. Gathering, reviewing, and understanding client/contractual technical requirements.
  2. Participating in the recruiting, hiring, and onboarding processes to staff technical requirements.
  3. Performing supervisory duties such as timecard approvals, professional development activities, performance reviews, and guidance on company processes.
  4. Reviewing status reports/deliverables.
  5. Coordinate technical/contractual requirements as required.
  6. Effectively communicating technical matters and/or issues with employees, clients, and internal management.
  7. Participating in the development of technical proposals.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering or Technical field.

5+ years of professional experience working in an engineering or technical field.

Prior experience working on U.S. Navy and/or other DoD programs preferred.

Experience working with industrial control systems a plus.

Prior personnel and/or project management experience preferred.

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Motivated individual looking to lead growing teams.

DoD Secret Clearance required, or the ability to obtain one.

Client Engagement

• Begin developing relationships one level up and two levels down. Identify and support opportunities to expand project scope beyond current deliverable and actively share information about clients’ emerging support needs and trends with team members and management.
