Responsibilities

Noblis MSD is looking to hire a Java Software Engineer / Developer candidate to contribute to a rewarding program in support of the U.S. Navy. The Java Software Engineer will integrate with a Government team developing software for Hull, Mechanical, & Electrical (HM&E) systems aboard US Navy vessels.The candidate will:

  • Read / write / debug Java software applications
  • Make recommendations for improvements or modifications to correct issues
  • Participate in coding peer reviews

Qualifications

BS Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related degree

Minimum of three (3) years professional experience required

Knowledge of software development for embedded control systems or programmable logic circuits is preferred

Knowledge of Java and JUnit is required

Knowledge of GIT and/or Gradle is required

Knowledge of Fedora/Redhat/CentOS is required

Will have a demonstrated understanding of object-oriented programming methodologies and software design/development processes

Attention to detail, especially with respect to troubleshooting and documentation of findings

 

Candidates should have a DoD secret clearance but we will consider clearable candidates.

 

While a candidate is expected to work on site we are willing to support a hybrid work schedule.
