You would join our team as an advanced technology scientist, conducting research, leading assessments, and developing models and algorithms in one or more highly-technical and advanced domains such as computer vision (CV), digital forensics, natural language processing (NLP), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning ML), and other data science areas like media analytics and cyber to enhance law enforcement and homeland security capabilities to handle, process, analyze, visualize, and translate information into actionable information.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience - multiple levels can be accommodated, degrees must be in a Technology, Engineering, or Computer Science (or related field)
    • Entry-level: Bachelors Degree + 0 years work experience OR High School Diploma OR GED + 4 years work experience
    • Mid-level: Bachelors Degree + 2-4 years work experience or Masters Degree + 0-2 years work experience
    • Senior-level: Bachelors Degree + 6-8 years work experience or Masters Degree + 4-6 years work experience
    • SME-level: Bachelors Degree + 10-12 years work experience, Masters Degree + 8-10 years work experience, or a PhD Degree and demonstrated domain expertise
  • Hands on experience and demonstratable expertise in your domain area of computer vision (CV), digital forensics, natural language processing (NLP), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning ML), and other data science areas like media analytics and cyber
  • Hands on experience with several of the following:
    • Design frameworks and libraries: Torch, PyTorch, OpenCV, Tensorflow, Caffe, Amazon Machine Learning, Apache Singa, Microsoft CNTK, Scikit-learn, scikit-image, NLTK
    • Development, deployment, and visualization using software like: SQL, R, Apache Mahout, d3.js, Tableau, Weka, Orange, as well as open source and other emerging technologies/frameworks
    • Development frameworks such as React, Spring Boot, Vue.js, Bootstrap
    • Programming languages and scripting methods including: Python, C, C++, Java, .NET, Bash, AWK
    • Version control systems such as git
    • Container orchestration platforms such as Docker
    • Microservice architectures and any of the following configuration management systems: Ansible, Packer, Terraform, Kafka, NiFi
  • Comfort facilitating machine learning workloads over command line on multi-tenant GPU clusters
  • Hands on experience decomposing complex technology topics into visualizations and terms suitable for a variety of audience expertise levels
  • Is comfortable developing solutions on Linux systems, but able to develop/deploy on other operating systems such as Windows
  • Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance
