Responsibilities

***This job is located in Redzikowo Poland.***

 

The AEGIS ASHORE Administrative Support will support Aegis Ashore in all major milestone evolutions, organize office space, and provide administrative assistance in all departmental areas in preparation for crew arrival and ongoing crew support. Direct administrative support to the Commanding Officers/Executive Officers including coordinating schedules and activities efficiently on behalf of the CO/XO.

Qualifications

 

Required skills and knowledge:

 

    • Minimum of 4 years of experience in the following:
      • Receive, review and distribute Command correspondence and take appropriate action to staff responses. Maintain correspondence, serial logs and naval message logs.
      • Deploy and manage the Plan of Action and Milestone Program.
      • Preparing naval messages.
      • Screening, preparing and routing correspondence for the CO.
      • Preparation of the plan of the day.
      • Track and maintain command instructions and notices.
      • Record and maintain daily muster reports.
      • Preparing personal awards/recognitions.
      • Processing performance evaluations/fitness reports.
      • Provide and maintain Department of the Navy required documentation to support Aegis Command daily functions.
      • Develop baseline of ship’s instructions, notices, and directives. These directives shall be prepared as required by Type Commander’s policy to support crew certification milestones.
      • Support development of department bills and instructions needed for crew certifications.
      • Files and processes shall be drafted in accordance with the Navy Directives Manual.
      • Maintain a current database for governing directives.
      • Maintain a turnover Personnel Qualification Standard (PQS) file.
      • Lesson plans for systems operation and maintenance.

Desired skills and knowledge:

  • Prior PS or YN experience is preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of Navy ranks and ratings
  • Experience in the following areas is an asset:
    • Familiar with Navy detailing system
    • Functional familiarization with the Enlisted Distribution and Verification Report
