This Data Scientist role will provide technical and programmatic support in the DHS Science and Technology Directorate, as part of a multidisciplinary team of high-performance professionals supporting the client's most vexing technical and technological challenges, and developing solutions to counter current, emerging, and future homeland security threats. This role will be working with our clients to design, create, evaluate, and maintain solutions using data science and machine learning. This role will work with various teams to identify, manage, research, develop, and present data analytics projects and solutions for various national security and intelligence missions, while also providing client-facing advisory services to inform program strategy and evaluate technical projects across DHS.
This team consists of developers, scientists, engineers, researchers, and analysts that have served federal, state, and local government clients on high-consequence problems in data analytics and AI/ML for over 20 years. The team is engaged across multiple federal government customers and has been instrumental in making our customers’ programs successful.
The successful candidate will be self-motivated, operate well in a matrixed environment, be able to learn, digest, and provide technical guidance on a broad spectrum of technical subjects, and be able to distill and communicate complex technical concepts to enable nontechnical managers to make informed decisions. The successful candidate will enjoy digging into complex problems, rapidly prototyping and evaluating solutions, and developing new skills as part of a small team.
This role may require non-local travel (limited- 4x/year), and some DC metro area local travel.

Salary at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, and clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and are based on full time status. Part time staff receive a prorated salary based on regularly scheduled hours. The estimated minimum and maximum displayed represents the broadest range for this position (inclusive of high geographic and high clearance requirements), and is just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package for employees.
