Responsibilities

As a subcontractor to Arcfield, Noblis ESI supports the Special Communications Office (SCO) on the NUO contract across several locations in the Northern Virginia region.  This contract provides SETA (Systems Engineering Technical Advisor) services to SCO with a focus on RF satellite communications.  The NUO contract support is part of a customer team focused on all aspects of the systems life cycle including conops development, capturing requirements, working with developers to deliver capability, testing to ensure capabilities meet requirements, transition to operations and operations support. 

 

This Junior/Mid level Systems Engineerig position supports a SCO mission area and is located in Chantilly Va.  This position has a wide range of activities through the SE life cycle. This candidate will work closely with the government to manage and advise on project development and O&M contractors progress to maintain the current mission, acquire new mission capabilities through the acquisition and readiness processes.

 

In particular this position has responsibilities associated with outreach to end users and key stakeholders and coordination of end-to-end system testing.  The program is very dynamic and will often have new systems modifications/upgrades that need to get defined, developed and integrated into the systems.  This position may be assigned to a multitude of SE related tasks dealing with all aspects of acquiring new capabilities for the system.

 

Potential travel every other month (at max) to CONUS locations (probably CA), for up to 3 or 4 days.  Travel requriements are relatively light and currently non-existent.

Qualifications

All NUO positions require people with at least a basic understanding of space communications mission, RF systems, systems engineering processes and general SETA advisory support in.

  • Requires 3 to 5 years with Bachelor's Degree
  • Required Clearance: TS/SCI w CI /Poly
  • Basic understanding of space-based RF communications methods, hardware/software
  • Must be a team player and possess a strong ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team as well as work independently with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively at all levels in an organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with customers providing detailed and unbiased feedback, guidance, and recommendations
  • Good time management skills; ability to support multiple projects; ability to multi-task
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must be proactive and forward leaning

Client Engagement

• Begin developing relationships one level up and two levels down. Identify and support opportunities to expand project scope beyond current deliverable and actively share information about clients’ emerging support needs and trends with team members and management.
