Noblis MSD’s mission is to support the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) and Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWCPD) in their missions to enable research, development, test and evaluation, acquisition, engineering, systems integration, in-service and fleet engineering with cybersecurity, comprehensive logistics, and life-cycle savings.  Noblis MSD is seeking a Electrical Engineer to support U.S. Navy Submarine Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E) programs.  You will provide engineering and technical assistance support in the Philadelphia Navy Yard.



The Electrical Engineer is a full time position, and will consist of a combination of remote work, and onsite work at a government facility in Philadelphia.  The position will facilitate leading the development of the system lab and steering system for surface ship combatants with NAVSEA Philadelphia.


Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and develop lab requirements
  • Facilitate developing lab space requests and build out
  • Develop technical requirements for ship configuration and Build out of Materials
  • Assist in technical manual development
  • Assist in fleet implementation and fielding plans
  • Develop and execute test plans



Required Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in engineering or related technical filed and three (3) years minimum technical experience in architecting and designing electrical to mechanical systems. A minimum of nine (9) additional years of related experience may be considered in lieu of the degree. 


Desired skills and knowledge:

  • PLC knowledge and programming a plus
  • Experienced with computer server hardware
  • Develop BIOS configuration
  • Knowledge of Ethernet networking
  • Troubleshooting of lab and system hardware
  • Knowledge of non-Ethernet communication protocols helpful but not required
  • Work on engineering drawings
  • General Windows OS experience (Install/Configure/Troubleshoot)
  • Configuration Management concepts and lockdowns
  • Bachelors’ Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering is desired from an accredited university, or equivalent experience as a US Navy tech
  • DOD Secret clearance prefered or the ability to obtain a clearance
