Noblis-ESI has an opportunity for an Innovation Engineer to work on an exciting, fast-paced program in Springfield, VA. This position provides subject matter expertise to customers in the lab environment supporting an operations entity.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop enterprise architecture and technology development roadmaps.
  • Provide technical review and assessment of program development and readiness activities.
  • Collect, coordinate, fuse responses, develop input and submit to the government for final approval responses to actions and taskers, sometimes on short notice.
  • Coordinate recommendations with government stakeholders and support regular program status reviews.
  • Review, document, track and communicate project progress to senior government leadership and industry partners.
  • Develop documents and briefings to communicate activity status that informs government and industry partners.
  • Support transition of tools into operational environments.
  • Produce technical documents, reports and presentations for customers, sometimes on short notice.


Required Qualifications:  

  • Experienced, innovative, and highly motivated Systems Engineer specializing in Research and Development (R&D) analysis, testing, tailored planning, and execution.
  • Experience with National Reconnaissance Office (NRO).
  • Knowledge of GEOINT and SIGINT overall space and ground architecture Familiarity with NRO and its missions
  • Highly skilled at migrating new capabilities into an enterprise environment while ensuring approaches maintain operational effectiveness of legacy systems.
  • Proven ability to communicate across all levels of government to transition R&D activities to an enterprise environment.
  • Strong technical leadership in evaluating and recommending courses of action on activities impacting data collection, processing and dissemination, testing, and infrastructure systems engineering.
  • Strong understanding of the Commercial Cloud Services environment.
  • TS/SCI with CI Poly.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Engineering or scientific Bachelor’s degree with 9+ years of experience or equivalent relevant experience in systems engineering environments.

Client Engagement

· Support and lead evolving business development efforts by applying technical and functional expertise to develop business solutions.
· Lead proposal sections for small or limited competition proposals and actively participate in teaming strategy discussions
